Resumo: This article focused on cultural tourism in Bella Vista Norte, Paraguay. The objective was to analyze the possibilities of cultural tourism for the development of the municipality, based on studies related to the Ñanduti income. The relevance of the study is given by the possibility of the region becoming a tourist hub on the border. The theoretical source of the investigation was established from the studies developed by Alves, Lukács and Marx. The primary sources were direct observation, recording of images and semi-structured interviews, carried out with the Intendente and the artisans of Bella Vista Norte. The secondary sources explored books, articles, theses and dissertations available in the database of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), referring to the theme of cultural tourism. Other secondary sources were also used, such as websites, blogs and videos available on the internet. The research allowed us to conclude that the development potential generated by cultural tourism and the production of Ñanduti income are not enough, immediately, to significantly contribute to the development of the municipality of Bella Vista Norte, Paraguay, as a “Tourist Pole of the Border”.

El objetivo fue analizar las posibilidades del turismo cultural para el desarrollo del municipio, a partir de estudios relacionados con la renta Ñanduti. La relevancia del estudio está dada por la posibilidad de que la región se convierta en un polo turístico de frontera. La fuente teórica de la investigación se estableció a partir de los estudios desarrollados por Alves, Lukács y Marx. Las fuentes primarias fueron la observación directa, el registro de imágenes y las entrevistas semiestructuradas, realizadas al Intendente ya los artesanos de Bella Vista Norte. Las fuentes secundarias exploraron libros, artículos, tesis y disertaciones disponibles en la base de datos de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior (CAPES), referentes al tema del turismo cultural. También se utilizaron otras fuentes secundarias, como sitios web, blogs y videos disponibles en Internet. La investigación permitió concluir que el potencial de desarrollo que genera el turismo cultural y la producción de renta ñanduti no son suficientes, de manera inmediata, para contribuir significativamente al desarrollo del municipio de Bella Vista Norte, Paraguay, como “Polo Turístico de Frontera”.Este artigo teve por objeto o turismo cultural em Bella vista norte, Paraguai. O objetivo foi analisar as possibilidades do turismo cultural para o desenvolvimento da municipalidade, a partir de estudos relacionados à renda ñanduti. A relevância do estudo se dá pela possibilidade da região se tornar polo turístico na fronteira. A fonte teórica da investigação foi estabelecida a partir dos estudos desenvolvidos por Alves, Lukács e Marx. Constituíram as fontes primárias a observação direta, o registro de imagens e entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com a intendente e com as artesãs de Bella Vista Norte. As fontes secundárias exploraram livros, artigos, teses e dissertações disponíveis no banco de dados da coordenação de aperfeiçoamento de pessoal de nível superior (CAPES), referentes à temática do turismo cultural. Também foram utilizadas outras fontes secundárias, tais como sites, blogs e vídeos disponíveis na internet.
