Resumo: This work has the objective to discuss the hypotheses about the origin of life with an emphasis on classical experiments on spontaneous generation and biogenesis from a study  which renders the student protagonist in the process of teaching-learning about the theme. The study presents questions that are novel and the text was drawn from the textbook used by students. It was applied in a room on the 1st year of secondary education in a public school in Barra Mansa, during the Biology classes. With the application of  study, we noted that a more active attitude of students who showed interest in the construction of scientific knowledge about the proposed theme.

El estudio plantea preguntas que son novedosos y el texto fue extraído del libro de texto utilizado por los estudiantes. Fue aplicado en una habitación en el 1º año de educación secundaria en una escuela pública en Barra Mansa, durante las clases de biología. Con la aplicación de dirgido estudio, hemos observado que una actitud más activa de los estudiantes que han mostrado interés en la construcción del conocimiento científco alrededor del tema propuesto. Esse trabalho tem o objetivo de discutir as hipóteses sobre a origem da vida com ênfase nos experimentos clássicos sobre biogênese e geração espontânea a partir de um estudo dirigido que torne o aluno protagonista no processo de ensino-aprendizagem sobre o tema. O estudo apresenta questões que são autorais e o texto foi elaborado do livro didático utilizado pelos alunos. Foi aplicado em uma sala do 1º ano do ensino médio em uma escola pública de Barra Mansa, durante as aulas de Biologia.
