Didactic-pedagogical proposals for environmental education using school gardens

Resumo: | Environmental education is an essential component that must be present in the curriculum at all levels of school education. Its importance is given by promoting a critical environmental and food awareness, forming individuals capable of intervening in their reality, seeking improvements in the quality of life. Based on experiences with extension projects carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais, Campus Bambuí, it was realized the need to carry out works that presented proposals for activities in the gardens associated with the formal requirements of the guiding documents of the education. In order to reconcile and consequently meet the contents defined in the Environment area contained in the National Curriculum Plans, this work sought to list the contents related to the themes contained in the document and correlate them with didactic-pedagogical activities to be worked on in the School Garden Environment. Activities that are essential in the process of implementing and maintaining a school garden have been described, from planning to harvest. In the description of each activity, a correlation was made with the contents provided for in the National Curriculum Plans - Environment, seeking to list the activities and contents that are proposed to be addressed in the school garden practices. After assessing the correlations, it can be concluded that most of the contents related to the Environment proposed in the document can be worked on in the activities to be carried out. In addition, it was possible to certify that work in the school garden environment can be used as content in addressing different points that are foreseen in the curriculum. |

Su importancia radica en promover una conciencia crítica ambiental y alimentaria, formando individuos capaces de adaptarse a su realidad, buscando mejorar la calidad de vida. A partir de experiencias en proyectos de extensión llevados a cabo en el Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología de Minas Gerais, Campus Bambuí, se observó la necesidad de desarrollar propuestas de actividades en las huertas basadas en los documentos existentes que orientan la educación. Con el fin de conciliar y consecuentemente cumplir con los contenidos definidos en el área de Medio Ambiente contenidos en los Planes Curriculares Nacionales, este trabajo buscó definir los contenidos relacionados a los temas comprendidos en el documento y correlacionarlos con las actividades didáctico-pedagógicas a trabajar en el Ambiente de la huerta escolar. Fueron descritas las actividades que son fundamentales en el proceso de establecimiento y manutención de una huerta escolar, desde la planificación hasta la cosecha. En la descripción de cada actividad se realizó una correlación con los contenidos previstos en los Planes Curriculares Nacionales - Medio Ambiente, buscando enumerar las actividades y contenidos que se proponen abordar en las prácticas de huertas escolares. Evaluada las correlaciones, se puede concluir que la mayoría de los contenidos relacionados con el Medio Ambiente propuestos en el documento se pueden trabajar en las actividades a realizar. Además de esto, se certifica que el trabajo en el ambiente de la huerta escolar puede ser utilizado como contenido para abordar diferentes puntos previstos en el plan de estudios.A educação ambiental é um componente essencial que deve estar presente no currículo de todos os níveis da formação escolar. Sua importância se dá por promover uma consciência crítica ambiental e alimentar, formando indivíduos capazes de intervir na sua realidade, buscando melhorias da qualidade de vida. A partir de experiências com projetos de extensão realizadas no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Minas Gerais, Campus Bambuí, percebeu-se a necessidade de realização de trabalhos que apresentassem propostas de atividades nas hortas associando com as exigências formais dos documentos norteadores da educação. Afim de conciliar e consequentemente atender os conteúdos definidos na área de Meio Ambiente contidos nos Planos Curriculares Nacionais, este trabalho procurou elencar os conteúdos relacionados aos temas contidos no documento e correlacioná-los com atividades didático-pedagógicas a serem trabalhadas no Ambiente Horta Escolar. Foram descritas atividades que são fundamentais no processo de implantação e manutenção de uma horta escolar, desde o planejamento até a colheita. Na descrição de cada atividade foi feita uma correlação com os conteúdos previstos nos Planos Curriculares Nacionais - Meio ambiente, buscando listar as atividades e os conteúdos que estão propostos para serem abordados nas práticas da horta escolar. Avaliadas as correlações, pode-se concluir que a maioria dos conteúdos relacionados ao Meio Ambiente propostos no documento podem ser trabalhados nas atividades a serem realizadas.
