Playful and practical activities in science education: didactic sequence about heat and temperature

Resumo: | Traditional classes in the field of the natural sciences in basic education are often uninteresting and monotonous and lack differentials to encourage students in the process of teaching and learning. In seeking to promote a better use in the natural sciences classes can make use of practices and play activities providing means to experience a positive and constructive interaction taking into subsunssores against the students. The objective of this study was to investigate previous knowledge of Science focusing on physics and the utilization of practical and playful activities in this process, developed in two 9th year elementary school class of in an estate school in Jaciara – MT. A questionnaire was applied to students, with objective and essay questions, related to their knowledge regarding physics (Science). Analyzing the data it was noticed that students already bring a previous knowledge on Physics, which is essential for the establishment of a meaningful learning. However, in most cases the students can’t relate Physics with other contents in Science and everyday matters. In order to streamline some contents of Science related to Physics, classes with playful and practical activities were done (with simple material and low cost) and focusing on the content of heat and temperature. An educational trail between the two groups (competition) with questions related to the content addressed through dialogue and practical scripts in class were also done. It was found that the application of a demonstrative and practical methodology in Science classes helped in the process of teaching and learning the contents covered, providing greater interaction and relaxation for students, addressing different levels of understanding and performance, thus favoring the achievement of knowledge exposed. |

De esta forma, el objetivo de este trabajo fue la investigación de conocimientos previos de Ciencias centrados en el área de Física y el uso de actividades prácticas y recreativas en este proceso, desarrollado en dos clases de noveno grado de primaria en una escuela estatal en la ciudad de Jaciara-MT . Se aplicó un cuestionario a los estudiantes de las clases, que contenía preguntas objetivas y de disertación, relacionadas con sus conocimientos previos en relación con la física (Ciencias). Al analizar los datos, se observó que los estudiantes ya aportan conocimientos previos sobre el área de Física, lo que hace que sea esencial establecer un aprendizaje significativo. Sin embargo, en la mayoría de los casos, no pueden relacionarlo con otro contenido cubierto en Ciencias y con asuntos cotidianos. Con el fin de racionalizar algunos contenidos de Ciencias relacionados con la Física, se realizaron clases con actividades prácticas (con material simple de bajo costo) y actividades lúdicas centradas en el contenido de calor y temperatura. También se realizó un recorrido pedagógico entre las dos clases (competencia) con preguntas relacionadas con el contenido cubierto en la clase dialogada y los guiones prácticos. Se encontró que la aplicación de una metodología demostrativa y práctica en las clases de Ciencias ayudó en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los contenidos cubiertos, proporcionando una mayor interacción y relajación para los estudiantes, abordando diferentes niveles de comprensión y rendimiento, favoreciendo así el logro de conocimiento expuesto.Na busca por promover um melhor aproveitamento nas aulas de Ciências Naturais é possível fazer uso de atividades práticas e lúdicas, proporcionando meios para ocorrer uma interação positiva e construtiva, levando em conta as subsunções dos estudantes. Desta maneira, o objetivo deste trabalho foi a investigação de conhecimentos prévios de Ciências enfocando a área de Física e utilização de atividades práticas e lúdica nesse processo, desenvolvido em duas turmas de 9º ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola estadual do município de Jaciara-MT. Foi aplicado um questionário aos alunos das turmas, contendo perguntas objetivas e dissertativas, relacionadas aos seus conhecimentos prévios em relação à física (Ciências). Analisando os dados percebeu-se que os alunos já trazem um conhecimento prévio sobre a área de Física, o que torna essencial para estabelecimento de uma aprendizagem significativa. Entretanto na maioria dos casos eles não conseguem relacioná-la com outros conteúdos abordados em Ciências e com assuntos do cotidiano. De forma a dinamizar alguns conteúdos de Ciências relacionados a Física, foram realizadas aulas com atividades práticas (com material simples de baixo custo) e lúdica enfocando o conteúdo de calor e temperatura. Também foi realizada uma trilha pedagógica entre as duas turmas (competição) com perguntas relacionadas ao conteúdo abordado na aula dialogada e roteiros práticos.
