Medicinal plants of traditional use in the southern region of Pará used during the Covid-19 pandemic

Resumo: As a result of the pandemic, the use of homemade medicines has spread even more in society, taking into account the harmfulness of self-medication, this study aimed to evaluate which medicinal plants were the most used during the pandemic for treatment and/or homemade prevention of the Coronavirus . The research is characterized as descriptive with a quantitative approach. Taking into account the pandemic, the study was carried out in a non-face-to-face manner, through a questionnaire on Google Forms. The research was carried out with 200 people, 150 women and 50 men, predominantly brown people with 137 in total and also with a predominant age group between 18 and 26 years old. It was possible to identify that among the most used medicinal plants boldo, ginger, garlic and saffron stand out. It was also observed that the use of these plants was usually directed to teas. In this way, the discussion of the topic is important today, because the pandemic has changed the routine of society and the way in which health is perceived, so that to avoid agglomerations, several people preferred to take home remedies and not seek a health unit, thus understanding the use of home remedies has become fundamental.

La investigación se caracteriza por ser descriptiva con un enfoque cuantitativo. Teniendo en cuenta la pandemia, el estudio se realizó de manera no presencial, a través de un cuestionario en Google Forms. La investigación se realizó con 200 personas, 150 mujeres y 50 hombres, predominando la gente morena con 137 en total y también con un grupo de edad predominante entre 18 y 26 años. Se pudo identificar que entre las plantas medicinales más utilizadas se destacan el boldo, el jengibre, el ajo y el azafrán. También se observó que el uso de estas plantas se dirigía generalmente a los tés. De esta manera, la discusión del tema cobra importancia hoy, pues la pandemia ha cambiado la rutina de la sociedad y la forma en que se percibe la salud, por lo que para evitar aglomeraciones, varias personas prefirieron tomar remedios caseros y no buscar una unidad de salud. , por lo que entender el uso de remedios caseros se ha vuelto fundamental.Em decorrência da pandemia, a utilização de medicamentos caseiros difundiu-se ainda mais na sociedade, levando em consideração a prejudicialidade da automedicação este estudo teve por objetivo avaliar quais as plantas medicinais foram as mais utilizadas durante a pandemia para tratamento e ou prevenção caseira do Coronavírus. A pesquisa se caracteriza como descritiva com uma abordagem quantitativa. Levando em consideração a pandemia, o estudo foi realizado de forma não presencial, através de um questionário no Google Forms. A pesquisa foi realizada com 200 pessoas, sendo 150 mulheres e 50 homens, predominantemente pessoas pardas com 137 no total e ainda, com faixa etária predominante entre 18 e 26 anos. Foi possível identificar que dentre as plantas medicinais mais utilizadas destacam-se o boldo, gengibre, alho e açafrão. Observou-se também que a utilização dessas plantas via de regra era direcionada para chás.
