Resumo: This work is the product of a study on the feasibility of applying the investigation-based science teaching methodology in a ninth grade elementary school class in the discipline of chemistry, in a public school in the city of Guaraí. Students at the school in question had contact with this teaching methodology for the first time, as they were used to more traditional methodologies, based on lectures centered on the teacher in the construction of knowledge. This study highlighted the possible difficulties and limitations in the implementation of investigative activities in the context in question, such as the lack of autonomy of students to solve problems, elaborate hypotheses, expose and disseminate ideas, in short, to act in the construction of knowledge by themselves. On the other hand, some got involved in the teaching proposal and participated with curiosity and enthusiasm in the elaboration of explanations and discussions. Therefore, it is worth highlighting the feasibility of applying science teaching through investigation as being possible through teacher training and student collaboration, given the importance of such activities in the development of skills, argumentation and critical thinking development that shape the formation of being human as a citizen.

Los alumnos de la escuela en cuestión tuvieron contacto por primera vez con esta metodología de enseñanza, ya que estaban acostumbrados a metodologías más tradicionales, basadas en conferencias centradas en el docente en la construcción del conocimiento. Este estudio destacó las posibles dificultades y limitaciones en la implementación de actividades investigativas en el contexto en cuestión, como la falta de autonomía de los estudiantes para resolver problemas, elaborar hipótesis, exponer y difundir ideas, en definitiva, actuar en la construcción del conocimiento. por ellos mismos. Por otro lado, algunos se involucraron en la propuesta didáctica y participaron con curiosidad y entusiasmo en la elaboración de explicaciones y discusiones. Por ello, cabe destacar la viabilidad de aplicar la enseñanza de las ciencias a través de la investigación como posible a través de la formación del profesorado y la colaboración de los alumnos, dada la importancia de dichas actividades en el desarrollo de habilidades, la argumentación y el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico que configuran la formación del ser humano como ciudadano.Este trabalho é produto de um estudo sobre a viabilidade da aplicação da metodologia de ensino de ciências baseado em investigação em uma turma do nono ano do Ensino Fundamental na disciplina de química, em uma escola pública do município de Guaraí. Os alunos da escola em questão tiverem contato com tal metodologia de ensino pela primeira vez, pois estavam habituados à metodologias mais tradicionais, baseadas em aulas expositivas centradas no professor na construção do conhecimento. Este estudo permitiu evidenciar as dificuldades e limitações possíveis na implementação de atividades investigativas no contexto em questão, como a falta de autonomia dos alunos em resolverem problemas, elaborarem hipóteses, expor e divulgar ideias, enfim, de atuar na construção do conhecimento por si mesmos. Em contrapartida, alguns envolveram-se na proposta de ensino e participaram com curiosidade e entusiasmo na elaboração de explicações e nas discussões.
