Resumo: Objective: The objective was to characterize the profile of patients with pressure injuries who were admitted to hospital units of Clinical Medicine and Neurology. Methodology: This is a documentary retrospective, quantitative and descriptive analysis study, carried out in the Clinical Medicine and Neurology units of a teaching hospital in the interior of Minas Gerais. The collection of data, in 27 medical records, was performed using a form, containing the demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients, from August to September 2020. Results: Among the main results, the following stand out: 85.2 % of patients were admitted to the medical clinic; 55.6% female; with an average age of 67 years. Pressure injuries were more prevalent in the sacral region (63.0%), and 33.3% were in stage II of evolution. Conclusion: By knowing the characteristics of patients with pressure injuries, it is possible to provide the scientific basis for decision making.

Metodología: Se trata de un estudio documental de análisis retrospectivo, cuantitativo y descriptivo, realizado en las unidades de Medicina Clínica y Neurología de un hospital universitario del interior de Minas Gerais. La recogida de datos, en 27 historias clínicas, se realizó mediante un formulario, que contiene las características demográficas y clínicas de los pacientes, de agosto a septiembre de 2020. Resultados: Entre los principales resultados destacan los siguientes: 85,2% de los pacientes fueron admitido en la clínica médica; 55,6% mujeres; con una edad media de 67 años. Las lesiones por presión fueron más prevalentes en la región sacra (63,0%) y el 33,3% se encontraba en estadio II de evolución. Conclusión: Al conocer las características de los pacientes con lesiones por presión, es posible proporcionar la base científica para la toma de decisiones.Objetivo: Objetivou-se caracterizar o perfil de pacientes portadores de lesão por pressão que estiveram internados em unidades hospitalares de Clínica Médica e Neurológica. Metodologia: Trata-se de estudo documental retrospectivo, quantitativo e de análise descritiva, realizado nas unidades de Clínica Médica e Neurologia de um hospital de ensino no interior de Minas Gerais. A coleta de dados, em 27 prontuários, foi feita por meio de um formulário, contendo as características demográficas e clínicas dos pacientes, no período de outubro a novembro de 2020. Resultados: Dentre os principais resultados, destacam-se: 85,2% dos pacientes estiveram internados na clínica médica; 55,6% do sexo feminino; com média de idade de 67 anos. As lesões por pressão foram mais prevalentes na região sacral (63,0%), e 33,3% encontravam-se em estágio II de evolução.
