Natural Science teaching and Ethnic-Racial relantionships: a look at the Base Nacional Comum Curricular

Resumo: | This work aims to problematize the constitution of the Base Nacional Curricular in the area of Natural Sciences by analyzing the way it approaches the specificities of the education of ethnic-racial relations and if it can guarantee possibilities of teaching those topics in the final years of Elementary School. The reason for the development of the research is centered on the fact that, in order to respect the ethnic diversity, a perspective that problematizes structural aspects and takes into account non-ethnocentric cultural practices is necessary. Since BNCC guides the minimum content to which Brazilian students are entitled to learn, it must present elements that corroborate this position. So, at first, we present the process of elaborating this document. Then, we compare the changes present in BNCC over the three versions and look for the presence of terms that explicitly manifest the racial discussion. Finally, through the Discursive Textual Analysis approach, we try to find possibilities implicit in the texts of the learning objectives and skills that indicate paths for the development of ethnic-racial relations discussion. The results point out that there was a change in the approach among the three versions, the second being the one that most points to a perspective of historical, social and cultural contextualization, however none of them explicitly highlights a discussion about the topic. At last, we could find possibilities implicit in the document, when these are confronted with academic productions that detail elements of the contributions of Sciences to the education of ethnic-racial relations. |

El motivo del desarrollo de la investigación se centra en el hecho de que, para respetar la diversidad étnico-racial, es necesario contar con una perspectiva educativa que cuestione los aspectos estructurales y tenga en cuenta las prácticas culturales no etnocéntricas. Dado que la BNCC orienta el contenido mínimo al que los estudiantes tienen derecho a aprender, debe presentar elementos que corroboren esta posición. Así, en primer lugar, se presenta una contextualización del proceso de elaboración de este documento. Posteriormente, comparamos los cambios presentes en el área sobre las tres versiones y buscamos la presencia de términos en el texto que manifestaran explícitamente la discusión racial. Por último, a través del enfoque discursivo análisis textual, tratamos de encontrar posibilidades implícitas en la redacción de los objetivos de aprendizaje y habilidades que indican caminos para el desarrollo de ERER. Los resultados muestran que hubo un cambio en el enfoque entre las versiones, la segunda que más apunta a una perspectiva de contextualización socio-histórico-cultural, pero ninguna de ellas resalta explícitamente una discusión sobre raza. Finalmente, fue posible encontrar posibilidades implícitas en los datos, cuando se confrontan con producciones académicas que detallan posibles aportes a la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales.Este trabalho objetiva problematizar a constituição da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), na área de Ciências da Natureza, analisando a forma como essa interpela especificidades da educação das relações étnico-raciais (ERER) e pode garantir possibilidades para o trabalho docente nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. A razão do desenvolvimento da pesquisa centra-se no fato de que, para que haja respeito à diversidade étnico-racial, é necessária uma perspectiva de ensino que problematize aspectos estruturais e leve em conta práticas culturais não etnocentradas. Uma vez que a BNCC orienta os conteúdos mínimos aos quais os estudantes têm direito de aprender, ela deve apresentar elementos que corroborem com esse posicionamento. Assim, em primeiro lugar, apresentamos uma contextualização do processo de elaboração desse documento. Após, comparamos as alterações presentes na área ao longo das três versões e buscamos no texto a presença de termos que manifestassem explicitamente a discussão racial. Finalmente, através da abordagem da Análise Textual Discursiva, tratamos de encontrar possibilidades implícitas na escrita dos objetivos de aprendizagem e habilidades que indiquem caminhos para o desenvolvimento da ERER. Os resultados apontam que houve mudança na abordagem entre as versões, sendo a segunda a que mais aponta para uma perspectiva de contextualização socio-histórico-cultural, porém nenhuma releva de maneira explicita uma discussão acerca de raça.
