User satisfaction with Brazilian public dental services: a systematic review

Resumo: Objective: Developing a review of the scientific literature to measure the satisfaction of users of public dental services in Brazil. Methodology: A systematic review was performed including seven databases (PubMed, Scopus, LILACS, SciELO and Web of Science), including two to capture “gray literature” (OpenGrey and OpenThesis). The risk of bias of included studies was assessed with a specific tool and the data analysis was performed descriptively. Results: 7,689 records were identified and, of these, 11 were included after the selection and application of the eligibility criteria. Most studies had a low risk of bias. The included studies evaluated 4,131 users, of which 85.43% were satisfied. Conclusion: The systematic review pointed to a good level of satisfaction and made it possible to understand the instruments for assessing user satisfaction.

El riesgo de sesgo en los estudios incluidos se evaluó con una herramienta específica y el análisis de datos se realizó de forma descriptiva. Resultado: Se identificaron 7.689 registros y, de estos, 11 se incluyeron después de la selección y aplicación de los criterios de elegibilidad. La mayoría de los estudios tenían un bajo riesgo de sesgo. Los estudios incluidos evaluaron a 4.131 usuarios, de los cuales el 85,43% quedó satisfecho. Conclusíon: La revisión sistemática señaló un buen nivel de satisfacción y permitió comprender los instrumentos para evaluar la satisfacción del usuario.Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão da literatura científica para mensurar a satisfação dos usuários quanto ao atendimento recebido nos serviços públicos odontológicos no Brasil. Método: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática em sete bases de dados (PubMed, Scopus, LILACS, SciELO e Web of Science), incluindo duas para captação de “literatura cinzenta” (OpenGrey e OpenThesis). O risco de viés dos estudos incluídos foi avaliado com uma ferramenta específica e a análise dos dados feita de forma descritiva. Resultados: Foram identificados 7689 registros e, destes, 11 foram incluídos após o processo de seleção e aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade. A maioria dos estudos apresentou baixo risco de viés. Os estudos incluídos avaliaram 4131 usuários, sendo que 85,43% mostravam-se satisfeitos.
