Resumo: The aim of the review was to verify serum vitamin D levels in children and adolescents with asthma. The study is an integrative review, with 14 articles selected from the PubMed, ScienceDirect and VHL databases from 2013 to 2017. The studies analyzed revealed that individuals with asthma mostly have deficiency or insufficiency in serum levels. D. Children and adolescents with asthma had lower vitamin D levels than healthy subjects. Thus, it was evidenced that serum vitamin D was lower among asthmatics, with studies showing a significant association between vitamin D levels and the presence of pathology.

El estudio es una revisión integradora, con 14 artículos seleccionados de las bases de datos PubMed, ScienceDirect y VHL de 2013 a 2017. Los estudios analizados revelaron que las personas con asma tienen principalmente deficiencia o insuficiencia en los niveles séricos. Los, niños y adolescentes con asma tenían niveles más bajos de vitamina D que los sujetos sanos. Por lo tanto, era evidente que la vitamina D en suero era menor entre los asmáticos, y los estudios mostraron una asociación significativa entre los niveles de vitamina D y la presencia de patologia.O objetivo da revisão foi verificar os níveis séricos de vitamina D em crianças e adolescentes com asma. O estudo trata-se de uma revisão do tipo integrativa, com 14 artigos selecionados nas bases de dados PubMed, ScienceDirect e BVS nos anos de 2013 a 2017. Os estudos analisados revelaram que indivíduos com asma apresentam em sua maioria deficiência ou insuficiência em níveis séricos de vitamina D. As crianças e adolescentes com asma apresentaram níveis de vitamina D inferior aos indivíduos saudáveis.
