Inquiry-based Science Teaching and its contributions in Basic Education: a systematic review of literature

Resumo: | The Inquiry-Based Science Teaching (EnCI) is an approach that enables the student to build knowledge actively and with satisfactory results in learning. This work aimed to analyze EnCI's contributions to student learning in basic education. A systematic review of the literature in the Capes Periodicals and Capes Thesis and Dissertation Catalogue platforms was carried out. In the search platforms the words used for the search were: teaching, science, research, learning. The initial analysis was done through the title, abstract and keywords. The selected papers were read in full and a spreadsheet in Excel was used to organize the extracted data. In total 37 works were examined. Based on the analyses made EnCI favors the learning of students in Basic Education, because it allows space for problematizations and discussions. The differentiated activities generally promote the engagement and autonomy of the students, and ultimately favors scientific literacy. |

Este trabajo tenía como objetivo analizar las contribuciones de la EnCI al aprendizaje de los estudiantes en la educación básica. Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática de la literatura en las plataformas de las publicaciones periódicas de Capes y del catálogo de tesis y disertaciones de Capes. En las plataformas de búsqueda las palabras utilizadas para la búsqueda fueron: enseñanza, ciencia, investigación, aprendizaje. El análisis inicial se hizo a través del título, el resumen y las palabras clave. Los documentos seleccionados se leyeron íntegramente y se utilizó una hoja de cálculo de Excel para organizar los datos extraídos. En total se examinaron 37 documentos. En base a los análisis realizados, la EnCI favorece el aprendizaje de los alumnos de la Educación Básica, ya que permite el espacio para las problematizaciones y discusiones. Las actividades diferenciadas generalmente promueven el compromiso y la autonomía de los estudiantes y, en última instancia, favorecen la alfabetización científica.O Ensino de Ciências por Investigação (EnCI) é uma abordagem que possibilita ao aluno a construção do conhecimento de forma ativa e com resultados satisfatórios na aprendizagem. O presente trabalho objetivou analisar as contribuições do EnCI na aprendizagem dos alunos na educação básica. Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura nas plataformas Periódicos Capes e Catálogo de teses e dissertações da Capes. Nas plataformas de busca as palavras utilizadas para a pesquisa foram: ensino, ciências, investigação, aprendizagem. A análise inicial foi feita através do título, resumo e palavras-chave. Os trabalhos selecionados foram lidos na íntegra e utilizou-se uma planilha no Excel para organizar os dados extraídos. No total foram examinados 37 trabalhos. Com base nas análises realizadas o EnCI favorece a aprendizagem dos alunos na Educação Básica, pois possibilita espaço para problematizações e discussões.
