Resumo: Environmental Education plays an important role in the interaction between society and nature. Thus, the object of study of this work was the implementation of a mini-garden at Escola Municipal Santo Antônio, Grajaú-MA. The objective of the research was to investigate the potential of the mini-garden as an educational tool to promote environmental education, encouraging students to grow and consume healthy food. The research's methodological approaches were qualitative research and action research, using participant observation, the application of closed questionnaires and the practice of didactic sequences as ways of obtaining data. The results indicate that students at the researched school recognize the importance of preserving nature and the environment, demonstrating the effectiveness of the mini-garden as an educational tool in promoting environmental and interdisciplinary education, in which students can explore scientific and empirical concepts, and, add issues related to healthy eating. The Environmental Education approach based on the interaction of theory and practice stimulates students' interest and makes learning more meaningful. In this context, the students surveyed were motivated and willing to participate in activities related to the implementation of the mini-garden. Therefore, this study highlights the relevance of Environmental Education in the training of individuals, highlighting the importance of the school mini-garden as an instrument for teaching and learning and for socio-environmental awareness.

Así, el objeto de estudio de este trabajo fue la implementación de un minihuerto en la Escuela Municipal Santo Antônio, Grajaú-MA. El objetivo de la investigación fue investigar el potencial del minihuerto como herramienta educativa para promover la educación ambiental, incentivando a los estudiantes a cultivar y consumir alimentos saludables. Los enfoques metodológicos de la investigación fueron la investigación cualitativa y la investigación acción, utilizando la observación participante, la aplicación de cuestionarios cerrados y la práctica de secuencias didácticas como formas de obtención de datos. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes de la escuela investigada reconocen la importancia de preservar la naturaleza y el medio ambiente, demostrando la efectividad del minihuerto como herramienta educativa para promover la educación ambiental e interdisciplinaria, en la que los estudiantes puedan explorar conceptos científicos y empíricos, y, añadir cuestiones relacionadas con la alimentación saludable. El enfoque de Educación Ambiental basado en la interacción de la teoría y la práctica estimula el interés de los estudiantes y hace que el aprendizaje sea más significativo. En este contexto, los estudiantes encuestados se mostraron motivados y dispuestos a participar en actividades relacionadas con la implementación del minihuerto. Por lo tanto, este estudio destaca la relevancia de la Educación Ambiental en la formación de las personas, destacando la importancia de la minihuerta escolar como instrumento de enseñanza, aprendizaje y sensibilización socioambiental.A Educação Ambiental exerce papel relevante na interação sociedade e natureza. Assim, o objeto de estudo deste trabalho foi a implementação de uma mini-horta na Escola Municipal Santo Antônio, Grajaú-MA. O objetivo da pesquisa foi investigar o potencial da mini-horta como uma ferramenta educativa para promover a educação ambiental, incentivando os alunos a cultivarem e consumirem alimentos saudáveis.
