Early mobilization in the critical patient

Resumo: Early mobilization plays a crucial role in promoting the functional independence and psychological well-being of ICU patients. This work aims to identify what is included in the national scientific production on early mobilization of critically ill patients. Literature review study. The search was carried out in the virtual library Pubmed, BVS and Scielo. The filters inserted for the search were: national and international works, complete and available in Portuguese and English, which discussed the theme proposed for the study, from 2017 to 2022. 4 articles were found in Scielo; 10 articles in PubMed and 30 in VHL. 17 articles were selected and the rest discarded by title. After the complete reading of the articles, 10 were included for the preparation of this article. Separating into 3 categories, which are: Importance of Mobilization in critically ill patients; The role of the physiotherapist in mobilization of critically ill patients in the ICU and Conflicting views on contraindications and their mobilization criteria. It is concluded that the use of early mobilization as a therapy for patients admitted to the ICU has proven to be safe and effective, as it mitigates the negative impacts associated with prolonged periods of bed rest.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar lo que se incluye en la producción científica nacional sobre la movilización temprana de pacientes críticos. Estudio de revisión de literatura. La búsqueda se realizó en la biblioteca virtual Pubmed, BVS y Scielo. Los filtros insertados para la búsqueda fueron: trabajos nacionales e internacionales, completos y disponibles en portugués e inglés, que discutieran el tema propuesto para el estudio, de 2017 a 2022. Fueron encontrados 4 artículos en Scielo; 10 artículos en PubMed y 30 en BVS. Se seleccionaron 17 artículos y el resto se descartaron por título. Luego de la lectura completa de los artículos, se incluyeron 10 para la elaboración de este artículo. Separando en 3 categorías, que son: Importancia de la Movilización en pacientes críticos; El papel del fisioterapeuta en la movilización de pacientes críticos en la UCI y Visiones contradictorias sobre las contraindicaciones y sus criterios de movilización. Se concluye que el uso de la movilización temprana como terapia para los pacientes ingresados ​​en la UCI ha demostrado ser seguro y eficaz, ya que mitiga los impactos negativos asociados a los períodos prolongados de reposo en cama.A mobilização precoce desempenha um papel crucial na promoção da independência funcional e bem-estar psicológico dos pacientes internados em UTI. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar o que está contemplado na produção científica nacional sobre a mobilização precoce ao paciente critico. Estudo de revisão de literatura. A busca foi realizada na biblioteca virtual Pubmed, BVS e Scielo. Os filtros inseridos para a busca foram: trabalhos nacionais e internacionais, completos e disponíveis em português e inglês, que discorreram sobre o tema proposto para o estudo, de 2017 a 2022. Foram encontrados 4 artigos na Scielo; 10 artigos na PubMed e 30 na BVS. Foram selecionados 17 artigos e o restante descartado pelo título. Após a leitura completa dos artigos, foram incluídos 10 para confecção desse artigo. Separando em 3 categorias, que são elas: Importância da Mobilização em pacientes críticos; O papel do fisioterapeuta na mobilização na UTI do paciente crítico e Visões conflitantes sobre contraindicações e seus critérios de mobilização.
