Stress level and anxiety of nursing course discents

Resumo: The aim of the study is to assess the level of stress and anxiety of students in the nursing course. Integrative literature review with a qualitative approach. The search was carried out in the LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE, IBECS databases. Using descriptors: Psychological stress; Anxiety; Nursing students, connected with the Boolean operator “OR”, then joined with the Boolean operator “AND”. The PICo strategy was used as an acronym. In the initial sample there are a total of 1459 articles, after reading the titles and abstracts, a partial sample of 105 publications was obtained, then a more detailed reading was carried out, a final result was obtained from 40 studies that were read in the integrates, analyzed, interpreted, discussed and confronted with theoretical light about the topic under discussion. After analyzing the publications, it was found that stress and anxiety have an impact on the academic performance of nursing students, highlighting the factors associated with increased levels of stress and anxiety, academic periods with higher levels of stress and anxiety, and addressing practices to minimize the presence of stress and anxiety in academic life. It was evidenced in the study, a high prevalence of stress and anxiety among students of the Nursing Course, therefore, it is necessary to build support projects to welcome the student, opening space for dialogue through professional support, aiming detect early signs of stress so that the proper management of the event occurs, avoiding, correcting or minimizing its effects.

Revisión de literatura integradora con enfoque cualitativo. La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE, IBECS. Utilizando descriptores: estrés psicológico; Ansiedad; Estudiantes de enfermería, conectados con el operador booleano “OR”, luego se unieron con el operador booleano Y. La estrategia PICo se utilizó como acrónimo. En la muestra inicial hay un total de 1459 artículos, luego de leer los títulos y resúmenes, se obtuvo una muestra parcial de 105 publicaciones, luego se realizó una lectura más detallada, se obtuvo un resultado final a partir de 40 estudios que se leyeron en el integra, analiza, interpreta, discute y confronta con luz teórica sobre el tema en discusión. Luego de analizar las publicaciones, se encontró que el estrés y la ansiedad inciden en el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de enfermería, destacando los factores asociados con mayores niveles de estrés y ansiedad, periodos académicos con mayores niveles de estrés y ansiedad, y prácticas de abordaje minimizar la presencia de estrés y ansiedad en la vida académica. Se evidenció en el estudio, una alta prevalencia de estrés y ansiedad entre los estudiantes del Curso de Enfermería, por lo tanto, es necesario construir proyectos de apoyo para recibir al estudiante, abriendo espacios de diálogo a través del acompañamiento profesional, con el objetivo de detectar signos tempranos de estrés para que se produzca la adecuada gestión del evento, evitando, corrigiendo o minimizando sus efectos.O objetivo do estudo é avaliar o nível de estresse e ansiedade dos discentes do curso de enfermagem. Revisão integrativa de literatura com abordagem qualitativa. A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE, IBECS. Utilizando os descritores: Estresse psicológico; Ansiedade; Estudantes de enfermagem, conectados com o operador booleano “OR”, em seguida aderiu-se o cruzamento com operador booleano “AND”. Utilizou-se como acrônimo a estratégia PICo. Na amostra inicial tem-se um total de 1459 artigos, após a leitura dos títulos e resumos, aderiu-se uma amostra parcial de 105 publicações, em seguida realizou-se uma leitura mais detalhada obteve-se um resultado final de 40 estudos que foram lidos na integra, analisados, interpretados, discutidos e confrontados com luz teórica acerca da temática em discussão. Após análise das publicações constatou-se que o estresse e ansiedade apresentam um impacto no desempenho acadêmico dos estudantes de enfermagem, evidenciando os fatores associados ao aumento do nível de estresse e ansiedade, os períodos acadêmicos com maiores índices de estresse e ansiedade, e abordando práticas integrativas para minimizar a presença de estresse e ansiedade na vida acadêmica.
