Factorial structure verification and invariance of the organizational culture measure in employees of a public Higher Education Institution in Rio de Janeiro-RJ, Brazil

Resumo: Organizational Culture is a construct of fundamental importance for managers in organizations. For, in general, it guides the adoption of behaviors by the employee of the institution. This construct can be understood as a model of basic assumptions that certain groups create, discover, or develop during the learning process to deal with problems of external adaptation and internal integration in the work environment. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the brazilian instrument for assessment of organizational culture in workers of a Public Higher Education Institution. For this purpose, data were collected with 492 servers, 54% were men, 21-69 years (mean = 44.42; dp = 10.87), 54% were married and average service time was 10.74 years. Descriptive analyzes, confirmatory factorial analysis and modeling of structural equations with SPSS and AMOS.21 were performed. The results indicated indexes satisfactory according to the current literature for that measure in the context of the present study.

Pues, de manera general orienta la adopción de comportamientos por el funcionario de la institución. Esta puede ser entendida como un modelo de supuestos básicos que determinados grupos crean, descubren, o desarrollan durante el proceso de aprendizaje para lidiar con los problemas de adaptación externa e integración interna en el ambiente de trabajo. En el presente estudio se pretendió evaluar las características psicométricas del instrumento brasileño para la evaluación de la cultura organizacional en trabajadores de una institución de enseñanza superior pública. Para ello, se recogieron datos con 492 servidores, el 54% eran hombres, de 21 a 69 años (promedio = 44,42, dp = 10,87), 54% casados y tiempo de servicio de 10,74 años. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos, análisis factorial confirmatorio y modelado de ecuaciones estructurales con ayuda del SPSS y del AMOS.21. Los resultados apuntaron índices satisfactorios de acuerdo con la literatura vigente por dicho instrumento en el contexto del presente estudio.A Cultura Organizacional é um construto de fundamental importância para os gestores nas organizações. Pois, de maneira geral ela orienta a adoção de comportamentos pelo funcionário da instituição. Este construto pode ser compreendido como um modelo de pressupostos básicos que determinados grupos criam, descobrem, ou desenvolvem durante o processo de aprendizagem para lidar com os problemas de adaptação externa e integração interna no ambiente de trabalho. No presente estudo pretendeu-se avaliar as características psicométricas do instrumento brasileiro para avaliação da cultura organizacional em trabalhadores de uma instituição de ensino superior pública. Foram coletados dados com 492 servidores, 54% eram homens, de 21 a 69 anos (Média = 44,42; dp = 10,87), 54% casados e tempo de serviço médio de 10,74 anos. Foram realizadas análises descritivas, análise fatorial confirmatória e modelagem de equações estruturais com auxílio do SPSS e do AMOS.21.
