Resumo: This work has a multidisciplinary principle and addresses different areas, such as mechanical engineering, chemistry and biology. The objective is to demonstrate the characteristics of avocado biodiesel as a biolubricant for applications in diesel cycle engines. The methodology used begins with the extraction of oil from the avocado pulp, the process of which was carried out using the chemical solvent extraction technique. Afterwards, the process of transesterification of avocado oil was carried out to obtain biodiesel. Next, the avocado pulp biodiesel was used in the tribological test and the residue was analyzed in the X-ray spectrometer. Understanding the characteristics of avocado biodiesel as a biolubricant makes it possible to understand characteristics of friction, and with that, it is possible to reduce component failures. The result of this work shows that avocado biodiesel can be used as a biolubricant and has  wear properties in the combustion engine similar to that of mineral diesel.

El objetivo es demostrar las características del biodiesel de aguacate como biolubricante para aplicaciones en motores de ciclo diesel. La metodología utilizada comienza con la extracción de aceite de la pulpa de aguacate, cuyo proceso se llevó a cabo utilizando la técnica de extracción con solvente químico. Posteriormente, se llevó a cabo el proceso de transesterificación del aceite de aguacate para obtener biodiesel. A continuación, se usó el biodiesel de pulpa de aguacate en la prueba tribológica y el residuo se analizó en el espectrómetro de rayos X. La comprensión de las características del biodiésel de aguacate como biolubricante permite comprender las características de la fricción y, con eso, es posible reducir las fallas de los componentes. El resultado de este trabajo muestra que el biodiésel de aguacate se puede usar como biolubricante, y tiene propiedades de desgaste de  en el motor de combustión similares a las del diesel mineral.Este trabalho tem o princípio multidisciplinar e atende diferentes áreas, como a engenharia mecânica, química e biologia. O objetivo é demonstrar as características do biodiesel de abacate como biolubrificante para aplicações em motores de ciclo diesel. A metodologia utilizada tem início na extração do óleo da polpa do abacate, cujo processo foi realizado utilizando a técnica de extração química por solvente. Após, foi realizado o processo de transesterificação do óleo de abacate para a obtenção do biodiesel. Na sequência, o biodiesel da polpa de abacate foi utilizado no teste tribológico e o residuo analisado no espectrometro de raio-X. O entendimento das caracteristicas do biodiesel do abacate como biolubrificante permite entender caracteristicas do atrito, e com isso, é possivel reduzir falhas em componentes.
