Health literacy in brazilian graduate graduation: A focus on nursing

Resumo: Objective: to highlight the insertion of health literacy in nursing based on productions linked to Stricto sensu postgraduate programs. Method: systematic narrative review of theses and dissertations in the area of nursing, based on the CAPES theses and dissertations database and the IBICT Brazilian digital library of theses and dissertations. Results: 46 productions were selected, the first published in 2012 and continuing until 2022, 63% occurred in the last three years, 28% are from the Postgraduate Program in Nursing at the Universidade Federal de Goiás, 76% had one of the objectives of scaling the health literacy, for this, the most used instruments were: Health Literacy Questionnaire, Short Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults, Health Literacy. The development and evaluation of educational materials considering the principles of health literacy was another prominent focus. The most studied public are users of the Sistema Único de Saúde with chronic diseases, especially people with systemic arterial hypertension or Diabetes mellitus; old people; professionals, health students and caregivers. Conclusion: Nursing has dedicated itself to researching health literacy in the Brazilian population, contributing to successful health education actions.

Método: revisión narrativa sistemática de tesis y disertaciones en el área de enfermería, a partir de la base de datos de tesis y disertaciones de la CAPES y de la biblioteca digital brasileña de tesis y disertaciones del IBICT. Resultados: fueron seleccionadas 46 producciones, las primeras publicadas en 2012 y continuando hasta 2022, el 63% ocurrieron en los últimos tres años, el 28% son del Programa de Postgrado en Enfermería de la Universidade Federal de Goiás, el 76% tenía uno de los objetivos de escalar la alfabetización en salud, para ello los instrumentos más utilizados fueron: Cuestionario de Alfabetización en Salud, Prueba Corta de Alfabetización Funcional en Salud en Adultos, Alfabetización en Salud. Otro foco destacado fue el desarrollo y evaluación de materiales educativos teniendo en cuenta los principios de la alfabetización sanitaria. El público más estudiado son los usuarios del Sistema Único de Saúde con enfermedades crónicas, especialmente personas con hipertensión arterial sistémica o Diabetes mellitus; personas mayores; profesionales, estudiantes de salud y cuidadores. Conclusión: La enfermería se ha dedicado a investigar la alfabetización en salud en la población brasileña, contribuyendo para acciones exitosas de educación en salud.Objetivo: evidenciar a inserção do letramento em saúde na enfermagem a partir das produções vinculadas aos programas de pós-graduação Stricto sensu. Método: revisão sistemática narrativa de teses e dissertações na área da enfermagem, a partir do Banco de teses e dissertações da CAPES e da Biblioteca digital brasileira de teses e dissertações do IBICT. Resultados: Foram selecionadas 46 produções, a primeira publicada em 2012 seguindo até 2022, 63% ocorreram nos últimos três anos, 28% são do Programa de Pós-graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Goiás, 76% tiveram com um dos objetivos dimensionar o letramento em saúde, para isso, os instrumentos mais utilizados foram: Health Literacy Questionnaire, Short Test of Functional Health Literacy in Adults, Health Literacy. A elaboração e avaliação de materiais educativos considerando os princípios do letramento em saúde foi outro foco de destaque. O público mais estudado são os usuários do Sistema Único de Saúde com doenças crônicas, especialmente, pessoas com hipertensão arterial sistêmica ou Diabetes mellitus; pessoas idosas; profissionais, estudantes da área da saúde e cuidadores.
