Nursing in the face of health literacy, food and non-communicable chronic diseases in the elderly: integrative literature review

Resumo: Objective: to identify in the scintific literature the role of nurses related to functional literacy in health of the health of the people with chronic non-communicable diseases and their relationship with adequate nutrition. Methodology: Integrative literature review conducted in February 2022.The following electronic databases were used for the selection of articles: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (MEDLINE) via National Library of Medicine (PubMed); Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Nursing Database (BDENF) via Virtual Health Library (VHL); Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo); Web of Science; ScieVerse (Scopus). The definition of the fundamental question of this study was carried out through the Population/Patient/Problem - Interest - Context, Time (PICoT) strategy: "What scientific evidence on functional literacy in health related to adequate nutrition of the healthy people with chronic non-communicable diseases?". Results: We identified four studies that identified the low level of Functional Literacy in Health in the Elderly, with the age and schooling as primary factors. Conclusion: the planning of health actions in order to promote functional literacy in health is necessary for treatment support and success, emphasizing the role of the nursing team in this process.

Para la selección de artículos se utilizaron las siguientes bases de datos electrónicas: Análisis de Literatura Médica y Retrievel System Online (MEDLINE) a través de la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (PubMed); Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS) y Base de Datos de Enfermería (BDENF) a través de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS); Biblioteca Científica Electrónica online (Scielo); Web of Science; ScieVerse (Scopus). La definición de la cuestión fundamental de esto El estudio se llevó a cabo a través de la estrategia Población/Paciente/Problema - Interés - Contexto, Tiempo (PICoT): "?Qué evidencia cientifica sobre la alfabetización funcional em salud relacionada com la nutrición adecuada de las personas sanas con enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles?". Resultados: Se identificaron 4 estudios que identificaron el bajo nivel de Alfabetización Funcional en Salud en ancianos, con el la edad y la escolaridad como factores primarios. Conclusión: el la planificación de acciones de salud con el fin de promover la alfabetización funcional en salud es necesaria para el apoyo y el éxito del tratamento, enfatizando el papel del equipo de enfermaria em este proceso.Objetivo: identificar na literatura cientifica a atuação do enfermeiro relacionado ao letramento funcional em saúde de pessoas idosas com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis e sua relação com a alimentação adequada. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa de literatura realizada em fevereiro de 2022. Para a seleção dos artigos utilizou-se as seguintes bases de dados eletrônicas: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (MEDLINE) via National Library of Medicine (PubMed); Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) via Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS); Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo); Web of Science; ScieVerse (Scopus). A definição da questão norteadora deste estudo se deu mediante a estratégia Population/Patient/Problem – Interest - Context, Time (PICoT): “Quais as evidências cientificas sobre o letramento funcional em saúde relacionado a alimentação adequada das pessoas idosas com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis e o papel do enfermeiro ?”.Resultados: Identificaram-se 4 estudos que evidenciaram o baixo nível de Letramento Funcional em Saúde em Idosos, tendo a idade e escolaridade como fatores primordiais.
