Climatic fluctuations of extreme temperatures, average and thermal amplitude of the air in Bom Jesus Piauí, Brazil

Air temperature is a climatic element that over time and in tropical and semi-arid regions may affect the agricultural production system, causing significant changes in the coming years as a result of global warming. The objective was to characterize the differences existing in the climate of Bom Jesus Piauí regarding climatic fluctuations in extreme temperatures, average and thermal amplitude for the period of 1990-2018 and its comparison with the historical average of 1960-2018. The data used were acquired from the conventional meteorological station of the National Institute of Meteorology for the study period, the information of the extreme thermal data, medium and thermal amplitude helped the decision making in the agricultural, rural, urban and in several areas of scientific knowledge. Average minimum temperatures tend to increase and average maximum temperatures tend to remain unchanged. In this way, the average temperature and thermal amplitudes tend to remain at elevations. Altitude and latitude have inversely proportional analogies, while longitude has a proportional relationship with temperature. Of the studied temperatures, the minimum temperature is, notably, the one that presents the greatest increase and the greatest spatial consistency.
