Resumo: Water has become a scarce environmental resource and the target of conflicts, whether due to the decreasing availability due to qualitative and quantitative factors, or due to the greater demand in production activities and public supply. In this sense, the objective was to analyze the availability and demand of water resources in Goiás, as well as the use of instruments for planning and management of water resources in the State. In the methodology, SEMAD, IBGE, ANA were consulted. A description of the hydrography of the region was conducted and data on availability and demands of Goiás and specifically for Water Resources Planning and Management Units (UPGRHs) were presented. The results showed that there is a growing demand for water, making it necessary to improve the mechanisms of planning and management of water resources in the state of Goiás.

En ese sentido, el objetivo fue analizar la disponibilidad y demanda de recursos hídricos en Goiás, así como el uso de instrumentos para la planificación y gestión de los recursos hídricos en el Estado. En la metodología fueron consultadas SEMAD, IBGE, ANA. Se realizó una descripción de la hidrografía de la región y se presentaron datos sobre disponibilidad y demandas de Goiás y específicamente para las Unidades de Planificación y Gestión de Recursos Hídricos (UPGRHs). Los resultados mostraron que existe una demanda creciente de agua, lo que hace necesario mejorar los mecanismos de planificación y gestión de los recursos hídricos en el estado de Goiás.A água tem se tornado um recurso ambiental escasso e alvo de conflitos seja pela cada vez menor disponibilidade por fatores de ordem qualitativa e quantitativa, seja pela maior demanda nas atividades de produção e abastecimento público. Neste sentido, objetivou-se analisar a disponibilidade e demanda de recursos hídricos em Goiás, bem como o uso dos instrumentos de planejamento e gestão de recursos hídricos no Estado. Na metodologia foram consultados a SEMAD, IBGE, ANA. Realizou-se descrição da hidrografia da região e apresentados dados de disponibilidades e demandas de Goiás e especificamente por Unidades de Planejamento e Gerenciamento de Recursos Hídricos (UPGRHs).
