Advances and retreats: the issue of permanence and success in the context of the Technical Course in Informatics Integrated to High School at IFNMG – Campus Montes Claros

Resumo: Integrated High School is a new modality of education offered in the Brazilian context by the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. This modality seeks to train man in its integrality, because it integrates knowledge produced socially both in the area of general/scientific training and in the professional/technological area. In this sense, the present work seeks to address the theme of Integrated High School, focusing on the Technical Course in Informatics Integrated to High School at IFNMG/Campus Montes Claros. This is a bibliographic and documentary research, presenting as the central objective to carry out the survey of the indexes of conclusions of the entry classes in the years 2012 to 2017. In addition, it seeks to contextualize the permanence and success of students in the field of professional education and the course under investigation, presenting the actions to promote permanence and success. From the data collection, it was found that the first class of the course presented the lowest completion rate when compared to the other classes, and the subsequent ones presented better results. However, there was no progressivity in the results, there are, in some situations indentation in completion indexes. In view of results such as this, IFNMG elaborated the Institutional Strategic Plan of Permanence and Success with a view to improving both the teaching-learning process and the consequent increase in indicators related to the school success of its student body.

Esta modalidad busca formar al hombre en su integralidad, ya que integra el conocimiento producido socialmente tanto en el área de la formación general/científica como en el área profesional/tecnológica. En este sentido, el presente trabajo busca abordar el tema de la Escuela Secundaria Integrada, enfocándose en el Curso Técnico en Informática Integrada a la Escuela Secundaria en IFNMG/Campus Montes Claros. Se trata de una investigación bibliográfica y documental que se presenta como objetivo central relevar los índices de conclusiones de las clases de ingreso en los años 2012 a 2017. Además, se busca contextualizar la permanencia y el éxito de los estudiantes en el campo de la formación profesional y el curso bajo investigación, presentando las acciones para promover la permanencia y el éxito. A partir de la recolección de datos, se encontró q ue la primera clase del curso presentó la tasa de finalización más baja en comparación con las otras clases, y las siguientes presentaron mejores resultados. Sin embargo, no hubo progresividad de los resultados, teniendo, en algunas situaciones, una disminución en las tasas de finalización. Ante resultados como este, el IFNMG elaboró el Plan Estratégico Institucional de Permanencia y Éxito con miras a mejorar tanto el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje como el consecuente incremento de indicadores relacionados con el éxito escolar de su alumnado.O ensino médio integrado é uma modalidade nova de educação, ofertada, no contexto brasileiro, pelos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. Essa modalidade busca formar o homem na sua integralidade, pois integra conhecimentos produzidos socialmente tanto da área de formação geral/científica como da área profissional/tecnológica. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho busca abordar a temática do ensino médio integrado, com foco no curso Técnico em Informática Integrado ao Ensino Médio do IFNMG – Campus Montes Claros. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, que tem como objetivo central realizar o levantamento dos índices de conclusão das turmas ingressantes nos anos de 2012 a 2017. Além disso, busca contextualizar a permanência e o êxito dos estudantes nos âmbitos da educação profissional e do curso em investigação, apresentando as ações de fomento a essa permanência e êxito. A partir do levantamento dos dados, constatou-se que a primeira turma do curso apresentou o menor índice de conclusão, se comparada com as demais turmas, sendo que as subsequentes apresentaram melhores resultados. Porém, não se constatou uma progressividade dos resultados, havendo, em algumas situações, recuo nos índices de conclusão.
