Films and educational softwares in Physics teaching: A bivariate analysis

Resumo: | National and international surveys, such as performance indicators, demonstrate that the teaching process in Brazil is in a very worrying situation. However, it is in these difficult times that researchers must raise questions and propose solutions. Thus, this study comprises an analysis of the integration of alternative teaching tools, such as the virtual laboratory PhET, and action films with didactic characteristics, given the exclusive use of the expository method, in front of physics classes, for students from high school. Of a qualitative and quantitative nature, the investigation made use of questionnaires with conceptual questions to collect the data, applied at all stages and at the end of the cycle, aiming at making a comparative analysis of performance, either in the didactic sequences using the alternative resources, as only in which the lectures took place. The main results demonstrated that when alternative methodologies are used when teaching this natural science, the conceptual gain on the part of the students is greater than when there is only an expository and dialogued class. Concluding that in physics classes it is necessary to adopt different ways of exposing and working with the contents, and that educational software, and films, can be an effective resource. |

Sin embargo, es en estos tiempos difíciles que los investigadores deben plantear preguntas y proponer soluciones. Así, este estudio comprende un análisis de la integración de herramientas didácticas alternativas, como el laboratorio virtual PhET, y películas de acción con características didácticas, dado el uso exclusivo del método expositivo, frente a las clases de física, para estudiantes de escuela secundaria. De naturaleza cualitativa y cuantitativa, la investigación utilizó cuestionarios con preguntas conceptuales para recopilar los datos, aplicados en todas las etapas y al final del ciclo, con el objetivo de hacer un análisis comparativo del rendimiento, ya sea en las secuencias didácticas utilizando los recursos alternativos, ya que solo en el que tuvieron lugar las conferencias. Los principales resultados demostraron que cuando se utilizan metodologías alternativas al enseñar esta ciencia natural, la ganancia conceptual por parte de los estudiantes es mayor que cuando solo hay una clase expositiva y dialogada, concluyendo que en las clases de física es necesario adoptar diferentes formas de exponer y trabajar con los contenidos, y que el software educativo y las películas pueden ser un recurso eficaz.Pesquisas nacionais e internacionais, tais como os indicadores de desempenho, demonstram que o processo de ensino no Brasil se encontra em uma situação muito preocupante. Mas, são nesses momentos difíceis que pesquisadores devem levantar questionamentos e propor soluções. Assim, este estudo compreende em uma análise acerca da integração de ferramentas didáticas alternativas, tais quais, o laboratório virtual PhET, e filmes de ação com características didáticas, frente ao uso exclusivo do método expositivo, diante das aulas de física, para com alunos do ensino médio. De natureza qualitativa e quantitativa, a investigação fez uso de questionários com questões conceituais para coletar os dados, aplicados em todas as etapas e nos finais de ciclo, visando fazer uma análise comparativa de desempenho, seja nas sequências didáticas usando os recursos alternativos, como somente nas que houve as aulas expositivas. Os principais resultados demonstraram que quando há uso de metodologias alternativas frente ao ensino dessa ciência natural, o ganho conceitual por parte dos alunos é maior do que quando só há aula expositiva e dialogada.
