Resumo: | Climate study is essential for understanding and monitoring atmospheric activities, such as climate change. The climate of a region undergoes several changes due to natural or anthropic factors, especially El Niño - Southern Oscillation, an anomaly that can cause financial damage in agricultural production, floods and severe droughts. Climatology and Meteorology stand out in the study of historical rainfall and climatic phenomena, which corroborate the control and understanding of atmospheric activities that influence the rains of the Northeast. In this sense, the present work aims to analyze the behavior of rainfall in the Metropolitan Region of Cariri and to relate the behavior of rainfall with the years of influence of the climatic phenomenon El Niño-Southern Oscillation, in the period from 1980 to 2019, focusing on the identification of the driest periods of the rainfall regime and the years of intense rains. For this study, the data were made available by the Ceará Meteorological and Water Resources Foundation through the historical series. Data tabulation and organization, as well as statistical calculations, used excel software. It was possible to identify the variability and irregularities in the rains of the Region and the influence of El Niño, intervening in the rains of the studied region. |

El clima de una región sufre varios cambios debido a factores naturales o antrópicos, especialmente El Niño - Oscilación del Sur, una anomalía que puede causar daños financieros en la producción agrícola, inundaciones y sequías severas. Climatología y Meteorología destacan en el estudio de las lluvias históricas y fenómenos climáticos, que corroboran el control y la comprensión de las actividades atmosféricas que influyen en las lluvias del noreste. En este sentido, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el comportamiento de las precipitaciones en la Región Metropolitana de Cariri y relacionar el comportamiento de las precipitaciones con los años de influencia del fenómeno climático El Niño-Sur oscilación, en el período de 1980 a 2019, centrándose en la identificación de los períodos más secos del régimen de lluvias y los años de intensas lluvias. Para este estudio, los datos fueron puestos a disposición por la Fundación Meteorológica y de Recursos Hídricos de Ceará a través de la serie histórica. La tabulación y organización de datos, así como los cálculos estadísticos, utilizaban software de Excel. Fue posible identificar la variabilidad y irregularidades en las lluvias de la Región y la influencia de El Niño, interviniendo en las lluvias de la región estudiada.O estudo do clima é essencial para compreender e monitorar as atividades atmosféricas, como exemplo as mudanças climáticas. O clima de uma região sofre variadas modificações devido a fatores naturais ou antrópicos, destaca-se o El Niño - Oscilação Sul, anomalia esta que podem causar prejuízos financeiros na produção agrícolas, enchentes e secas severas. Destaca-se a Climatologia e a Meteorologia no estudo das precipitações históricas e os fenômenos de ordem climática, que corroboram no controle e compreensão das atividades atmosféricas que influenciam nas chuvas do Nordeste. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho objetiva analisar o comportamento das precipitações pluviométricas na Região Metropolitana do Cariri e relacionar o comportamento das chuvas com os anos de influência do fenômeno climático El Niño-Oscilação do Sul, no período de 1980 a 2019, enfocando na identificação dos períodos mais secos do regime pluviométrico e os anos de chuvas intensas. Para a realização desse estudo, os dados foram disponibilizados pela Fundação Cearense de Meteorologia e Recursos Hídricos por meio das séries históricas. A tabulação e organização dos dados, como também os cálculos estatísticos, utilizou-se o software Excel.
