Resumo: | The present work addresses suicide, an evil practice that has been affecting the whole world. In the face of alarming data, it was decided to investigate in reality in Picos - PI the behavioral profile of suicidal cases. This is a documentary, retrospective, descriptive cross-sectional research with a quantitative approach, conducted through a survey of secondary sources dating suicide cases and suicide attempts from January 2013 to December 2018. At the end it is concluded that the suicide attempts were much higher than the suicide suicide cases. Among the years studied, 2017 was the one with the most occurrences, with a peak of cases in May. Thus, this article aims to analyze the behavioral profile of suicidal cases that occurred in Picos-Piauí, in the period from 2013 to 2018. |

Ante datos alarmantes, se decidió investigar enrealidaden Picos - PI el perfil de comportamiento de los casos de suicidio. Esta es una investigación transversal documental, retrospectiva y descriptiva conun enfoque cuantitativo, realizada a través de una encuesta de fuentes secundarias que datan casos de suicidio e intentos de suicidio desde enero de 2013 hasta diciembre de 2018. Al final se concluye que los intentos de suicídio fueron mucho más altos que los casos de suicidio suicida. Entre losaños estudiados, 2017 fue el que tuvo más casos, conun pico de casos em mayo. Por lo tanto, este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el perfil de comportamiento de los casos de suicidio que ocurrieron en Picos-Piauí, en el período de 2013 a 2018.O presente trabalho aborda o suicídio, uma prática maléfica que vem afetando o mundo inteiro. Diante de dados alarmantes, decidiu-se, então, investigar na realidade de Picos – PI o perfil comportamental dos casos suicida. Esta é uma pesquisa documental, retrospectiva, descritiva de corte transversal e com abordagem quantitativa, realizada por meio de um levantamento em fontes secundárias que datam casos de suicídio e tentativa de suicídio de Janeiro de 2013 a Dezembro de 2018. Ao final conclui-se que os casos de tentativas de suicídio foram bem maiores que os casos de suicídios consumados. Dentre os anos estudados, o de 2017 foi o que houve mais ocorrências, com ápice de casos no mês de Maio.
