Technical High Level and Undergraduate Courses: Comparison of vacancies and new entrants at the Federal Institute of Amapá, Brazil (2017-2018)

Resumo: | The Federal Institute of Amapá (IFAP) is an autonomous educational institution with a multi-camp structure. It has academic performance areas such as the Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) or Professional Qualification courses; the technical courses of medium level, covering the integrated form, subsequent form and the modality of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), Undergraduate and Graduate Lato Sensu and Stricto Sensu. The objective of this work is to make a comparison of vacancies and new entrants at the Federal Institute of Amapá in high school and undergraduate courses between the years 2017 to 2018. The research has a quantitative and qualitative approach, and was carried out based on the data informed by the Nilo Peçanha Platform, as well as bibliographic research on the most current academic productions, related to the theme of the article. As well as, the investigation resulted in a demonstration of the increase in high school entrance and vacancies, when compared to the same level of entrance of the Higher Education courses in the year 2018. In addition, it demonstrated the increase in the offer of Technical Vocational Education at Level Medium in the subsequent modality to the detriment of the integrated modality; he also assessed and concluded that the Macapá Campus (capital) remains undefeated with the largest number of entrants. However, it presented a decay from 2017 to 2018 and finally, it showed that IFAP presented a greater number of new students for technology courses. |

Cuenta con áreas de desempeño académico como los cursos de Educación Inicial y Continua (FIC) o de Calificación Profesional; los cursos técnicos de nivel medio, que abarcan la forma integrada, la forma posterior y la modalidad de Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos (EJA), Pregrado y Posgrado Lato Sensu y Stricto Sensu. El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer una comparación de las vacantes y los nuevos participantes en el Instituto Federal de Amapá en los cursos de secundaria y pregrado entre los años 2017 a 2018. La investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, y se realizó en base a los datos informados por la Plataforma Nilo Peçanha, así como, la investigación bibliográfica sobre las producciones académicas más actuales, relacionadas con el tema del artículo. Además, la investigación resultó en una demostración del aumento en el ingreso a la escuela secundaria y las vacantes, en comparación con el mismo nivel de ingreso a los cursos de Educación Superior en el año 2018. Además, demostró el aumento en la oferta de Educación Técnica Profesional a Nivel Medio en la modalidad posterior en detrimento de la modalidad integrada; También evaluó y concluyó que el Campus de Macapá (capital) sigue invicto con el mayor número de participantes. Sin embargo, disminuyó de 2017 a 2018 y, finalmente, mostró que la IFAP tenía un mayor número de nuevos estudiantes para cursos de tecnología.O Instituto Federal do Amapá (IFAP) é uma instituição autárquica educacional com estrutura multicampi. Possui áreas de atuação acadêmica como os cursos de Formação Inicial e Continuada (FIC) ou Qualificação profissional; os cursos Técnicos de nível médio, abrangendo a forma integrada, forma subsequente e a modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), Graduação e Pós-graduação Lato Sensu e Stricto Sensu. O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer um comparativo de vagas e de ingressantes no Instituto Federal do Amapá nos cursos de nível Médio e de Graduação entre os anos de 2017 à 2018. A pesquisa possui uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa, e foi realizada com base nos dados informados pela Plataforma Nilo Peçanha, bem como, foi realizada pesquisa bibliográfica sobre as produções acadêmicas mais atuais, referentes à temática do artigo. Assim como, a investigação resultou na demonstração do aumento de ingressantes e de vagas do Ensino Médio, se comparado ao mesmo nível de ingressantes dos cursos de Nível Superior do ano de 2018. Além disso, demonstrou o aumento da oferta da Educação Profissional Técnica de Nível Médio na modalidade subsequente em detrimento a modalidade integrada; também avaliou e concluiu que o Campus Macapá (capital) se mantém invicto com o maior número de ingressantes.
