Resumo: | Objective: to assess the nurse’s performance in the prevention and treatment of users with diabetic foot in the Family Health Strategy. Methodology: qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study. The participants were 10 nurses who worked in the Family Health Strategies, in a municipality in Northwestern Rio Grande do Sul. Data collection occurred during the August and September 2019, through semi-structured interview, using the Thematic Content Analysis. Results: the the participants develop actions related to prevention, control and treatment provided to patients with diabetic foot. The success of the service is based on health education actions and nursing consultation. Conclusions: nurses perform direct care with the lesion, including dressings, choice of coverages and, when necessary, the referral of patients to other professionals of the multidisciplinary team and to other services. |

Metodología: estudio cualitativo, del tipo descriptivo y exploratorio. Participaron 10 enfermeros que trabajaban en las Estrategias de Salud Familiar, en un municipio en el noroeste de Rio Grande do Sul. La recogida de datos ocurrió durante los meses de agosto y septiembre de 2019, por medio de la entrevista semi-estructurada, analizándose los datos por el Análisis de Contenido Temático. Resultados: los participantes desarrollan acciones relacionadas con la prevención, el control y el tratamiento brindado a pacientes con pie diabético. El éxito del servicio se basa en acciones de educación sanitaria y consulta de enfermería. Conclusiones: los enfermeros realizan el cuidado directo de la lesión, incluyendo curativos, elección de la cobertura y, cuando necesario, la remisión de pacientes a otros profesionales del equipo multidisciplinario y también a otros servicios.Objetivo: conhecer a atuação do enfermeiro nas ações de prevenção e tratamento de usuários com pé diabético na Estratégia da Saúde da Família. Metodologia: estudo de abordagem qualitativa do tipo descritivo e exploratório. Participaram do estudo 10 enfermeiros atuantes em Estratégias de Saúde da Família, de um município do Noroeste Gaúcho. A coleta de dados ocorreu nos meses de agosto e setembro de 2019, por meio da entrevista semiestruturada, sendo os dados analisados pela Analise de Conteúdo Temática. Resultados: os participantes desenvolvem ações relacionadas à prevenção, controle e tratamento dispensado ao paciente com pé diabético. O sucesso do atendimento está fundamentado nas ações de educação em saúde e na consulta de enfermagem.
