Landscaping practices in living spaces in rural communities as an instrument of Environmental Education

Resumo: The ornamentation of social spaces provides its users with several benefits in the community, especially the beautification of these spaces, making them more pleasant and useful. This work aimed to develop actions related to Environmental Education through landscaping practices and landscaping of social spaces of rural communities. Valuing the culture and preservation of the vegetation of these spaces, through workshops, which took place together with the City Hall and EMATER/RS-ASCAR Regional of Faxinal do Soturno, RS, in two moments: morning and afternoon. The morning was devoted to the theoretical part and the afternoon to the practical part. There was a good receptivity on the theme addressed during the workshop, both in the theoretical part with technical exposure and debate about the importance of the environment and living spaces, as well as in the practical part with great participation in the design and implementation of the landscaping of the chosen spaces. It was found that the interdisciplinarity characteristic of Environmental Education makes possible, in our work, the practices of landscaping and gardening, to awaken the awareness of the participants about the importance of the environment, regardless of the size and scope of social spaces for social interaction, a good quality of life.

Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo desarrollar acciones relacionadas con la Educación Ambiental a través de prácticas de jardinería y paisajismo de espacios sociales de comunidades rurales. Valorar la cultura y preservación de la vegetación de estos espacios, a través de talleres, que se llevaron a cabo junto con el Ayuntamiento y el Regional EMATER/RS-ASCAR de Faxinal do Soturno, RS, en dos momentos: mañana y tarde. La mañana se dedicó a la parte teórica y la tarde a la parte práctica. Hubo una buena receptividad sobre el tema abordado durante el taller, tanto en la parte teórica con exposición técnica y debate sobre la importancia del medio ambiente y los espacios habitables, como en la parte práctica con gran participación en el diseño e implementación del paisajismo de los espacios elegidos. Se encontró que la interdisciplinariedad característica de la Educación Ambiental posibilita, en nuestro trabajo, las prácticas de paisajismo y jardinería, para despertar la conciencia de los participantes sobre la importancia del medio ambiente, independientemente del tamaño y alcance de los espacios sociales para la interacción social, una buena calidad de vida.A ornamentação de espaços de convivência social proporciona a seus usuários vários benefícios em comunidade, especialmente, o embelezamento destes espaços, tornando-os mais prazerosos e uteis. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver ações relacionadas à Educação Ambiental por meio de práticas de paisagismo e ajardinamento de espaços de convívio social de comunidades rurais. Valorizando a cultura e a preservação da vegetação destes espaços, através de oficinas, que ocorreram em conjunto com a Prefeitura e a EMATER/RS-ASCAR Regional de Faxinal do Soturno, RS, em dois momentos: manhã e tarde. O período da manhã foi destinado à parte teórica e a tarde a parte prática. Observou-se boa receptividade sobre a temática abordada durante a oficina, tanto na parte teórica com exposição técnica e debate sobre a importância do meio ambiente e os espaços de convívio, como na parte prática com ótima participação na elaboração e implantação do ajardinamento dos espaços escolhidos.
