The use of Cannabis sativa in treatment of Alzheimer

Resumo: Alzheimer's disease is becoming increasingly common among the elderly, a degenerative, progressive and irreversible neurological disease. The treatment is carried out through drugs with the objective of minimizing the disturbances of the disease and, among the existing pharmacological treatments, those with drugs based on Cannabis sativa stand out. The study aimed to analyze in the scientific literature the therapeutic use of Cannabis sativa in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. An integrative literature review was carried out, with a qualitative approach, with analyzes carried out online in national journals indexed in the electronic libraries of the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline); System of Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and Virtual Health Library (VHL). With the data, a record was generated. Among the selected works, only ten presented studies according to the proposed theme. It was observed that the use of Cannabis sativa is effective for the pharmacological treatment of Alzheimer's disease, whose research points to important advantages in its use. It is concluded that research on the advantages of using cannabidiol for therapeutic purposes is essential for the advancement of medicine and for breaking paradigms about Cannabis.

El tratamiento se realiza a través de fármacos con el objetivo de minimizar las molestias propias de la enfermedad y, entre los tratamientos farmacológicos existentes, destacan aquellos con fármacos a base de  Cannabis sativa. El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar en la literatura científica el uso terapéutico del Cannabis sativa en el tratamiento de la enfermedad de Alzheimer. Se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura, con enfoque cualitativo, con análisis realizados en línea en revistas nacionales indexadas en las bibliotecas electrónicas de las siguientes bases de datos: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); Sistema de recuperación y análisis de literatura médica en línea (Medline); Sistema de Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS) y Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS). Con los datos se generó un registro. Entre los trabajos seleccionados, solo diez presentaron estudios de acuerdo con el tema propuesto. Se observó que el uso de Cannabis sativa es efectivo para el tratamiento farmacológico de la enfermedad de Alzheimer, cuyas investigaciones apuntan importantes ventajas en su uso. Se concluye que la investigación sobre las ventajas del uso de cannabidiol con fines terapéuticos es fundamental para el avance de la medicina y para romper paradigmas sobre el cannabis.A doença de Alzheimer vem se tornando cada vez mais comum entre os idosos, uma doença neurológica degenerativa, progressiva e irreversível. O tratamento é realizado por meio de medicamentos com o objetivo de minimizar os distúrbios da doença e, dentre os tratamentos farmacológicos existentes, destacam-se aqueles com medicamentos com base na Cannabis sativa. O estudo, teve como objetivo Analisar na literatura científica o uso terapêutico da Cannabis sativa no tratamento da doença de Alzheimer. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com abordagem qualitativa, com análises realizadas online em periódicos nacionais indexados nas bibliotecas eletrônicas das seguintes bases de dados: Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO); Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline); Sistema da Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Com os dados, foi gerado um fichamento. Dentre os trabalhos selecionados, somente dez apresentavam estudos de acordo com a temática proposta. Observou-se o uso da Cannabis sativa é eficaz para o tratamento farmacológico da doença de Alzheimer, cujas pesquisas apontam importantes vantagens em sua utilização.
