Educational technologies for children and adolescents in palliative and end-of-life care in cancer illness and their families: scope review protocol

Resumo: | Objective: To map educational technologies for adolescent and pediatric patients in palliative and end-of-life care due to oncological illness and their families. Methodology: Scope review protocol developed according to the recommendations proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute and following the PRISMA-ScR checklist. Observational and experimental studies will be included, with quantitative or qualitative approaches, in the electronic databases of Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Spanish Bibliographic Index of Health Sciences and PubMed (MEDLINE/PubMed) via the Virtual Health Library and in the bases: Web of Science, ScienceDirect and Scopus. Gray literature will be selected via Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, Google Scholar, websites of societies and associations in palliative care and clinical guidelines recognized by government bodies and the World Health Organization. For selection, two reviewers will perform the screening of titles and abstracts, read the full texts and extract data independently. In case of discrepancies, they will be discussed with a third reviewer. The extracted data will be presented in the form of tables and/or charts. |

Metodología: Protocolo de revisión del alcance desarrollado según las recomendaciones propuestas por el Instituto Joanna Briggs y siguiendo la lista de verificación PRISMA-ScR. Se incluirán estudios observacionales y experimentales, con enfoques cuantitativos o cualitativos, en las bases de datos electrónicas de Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud, Índice Bibliográfico Español de Ciencias de la Salud y PubMed (MEDLINE/PubMed) a través de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud y en las bases: Web of Science, Science Direct y Scopus. Se seleccionará literatura gris a través de Biblioteca Digital de Tesis y Disertaciones, Google Scholar, sitios web de sociedades y asociaciones en cuidados paliativos y guías clínicas reconocidas por organismos gubernamentales y la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Para la selección, dos revisores realizarán la selección de títulos y resúmenes, leerán los textos completos y extraerán los datos de forma independiente. En caso de discrepancias, serán discutidas con un tercer revisor. Los datos extraídos se presentarán en forma de tablas y/o gráficos.Objetivo: Mapear as tecnologias educacionais para pacientes adolescentes e pediátricos em cuidados paliativos e fim de vida por adoecimento oncológico e seus familiares. Metodologia: Protocolo de revisão de escopo desenvolvido conforme as recomendações propostas pelo Joanna Briggs Institute e seguindo o checklist PRISMA-ScR, registrado no Open Science Framework sob nº osf.io/ux64p. Serão incluídos estudos observacionais e experimentais, com abordagens quantitativa ou qualitativa, nas bases eletrônicas Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Índice Bibliográfico Espanhol de Ciências da Saúde e PubMed (MEDLINE/PubMed) via Bliblioteca Virtual em Saúde e nas bases: Web of Science, ScienceDirect e Scopus. A literatura cinza será selecionada via Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações, Google Scholar, sites de sociedades e associações em cuidados paliativos e diretrizes clínicas reconhecidas por órgãos governamentais e Organização Mundial de Saúde. Para a seleção, dois revisores realizarão a triagem dos títulos e resumos, lerão os textos completos e extrairão os dados, de forma independente. Em caso de divergências, serão discutidas com um terceiro revisor.
