Resumo: | Objective: To analyze the percentage of obese people and the level of physical activity in university students in the border region. Method: Academic and cross-sectional study, in which university students from the border region of the city of Foz do Iguaçu-PR. A data search was carried out on the body weight index, for the diagnosis of obesity, where the search format of international physical activity, online version that evaluated the level of physical activity, was not applied. Results: it was possible to find 62 university students who are 20.8% and 37 are in contact with obesity, corresponding to 17.8% of university students. With regard to the level of physical activity of the students in this study, very similar results are presented in relation to the Active and Active categories, 25.0% respectively, and in relation to BMI, 48.1% were considered in relation to the mass index. normal body, which is considered a positive result. Conclusion: Based on the results, it is possible to infer that the percentage of obese people at the border who responded to the region is lower than similar studies. This may have occurred due to the approach due to the pandemic - online form - self-report and or is really a characteristic of the population addressed. |

Método: Estudio cuantitativo y transversal, en el que participaron estudiantes universitarios de la región fronteriza de la ciudad de Foz do Iguaçu-PR. La encuesta se realizó en el formato online, buscando datos sobre el índice de masa corporal, para diagnosticar la obesidad, donde se aplicó el cuestionario internacional de actividad física, versión corta, que evaluó el nivel de actividad física. Resultados: se pudo contactar que 62 universitarios presentan sobrepeso representando el 29,8% y 37 obesos, correspondiente al 17,8% de los universitarios. En cuanto al nivel de actividad física de los estudiantes de este estudio, se presentan resultados muy similares en cuanto a las categorías Activo y Muy Activo, 25,0% y 31,3% respectivamente y en relación al IMC, el 48,1% se consideró de masa corporal normal, lo que se considera un resultado positivo. Conclusión: Con base en los resultados, es posible inferir que el porcentaje de personas obesas en la región fronteriza que respondieron el cuestionario es menor que en estudios similares. Esto puede haber ocurrido por el enfoque debido a la pandemia - formulario en línea - autoinforme y o es realmente una característica de la población atendida.Objetivo: Analisar o percentual de obesos e o nível de prática de atividade física em universitários da região de fronteira. Método: Estudo quantitativo e transversal, no qual os universitários da região de fronteira da cidade de Foz do Iguaçu-PR. Foi realizada a pesquisa no formato online buscando dados sobre o índice de massa corporal, para diagnosticar a obesidade, onde foi aplicado o questionário internacional de atividade física, versão curta, que avaliou o nível de atividade física. Resultados: foi possível contatar que 62 universitários se encontram com sobrepeso representando 29,8% e 37 se encontram em um quadro de obesidade, correspondendo 17,8% de universitários. No que refere ao nível de atividade física dos estudantes deste estudo, são apresentados resultados muito próximos quanto às categorias Ativo e Muito Ativo, 25,0% e 31,3% respectivamente e em relação ao IMC, 48,1% foram considerados com índice de massa corporal normal, o que é considerado um resultado positivo. Conclusão: A partir dos resultados é possível inferir que o percentual de obesos na região de fronteira que responderam ao questionário, é inferior aos de estudos similares.
