Educational conversation circles with pregnant women in the scope of primary care: An experience report

Resumo: Introduction: The use of educational practices aimed at sensitizing health users in the scope of primary care acts as a tool that helps to preserve the health of these individuals. This article aims to report the experience of Medical Students and describe the execution of an educational activity aimed at promoting health and raising awareness about healthy eating practices aimed at pregnant women using the services of a Basic Health Unit (BHU). Methodology: based on conversation circles involving 45 pregnant women, the activity being performed four times during the first semester of 2022, through the use of graphic material and a playful educational folder, on the main undesirable symptoms of the first trimester of pregnancy, elucidating nutritional guidelines to mitigate or avoid them. Results and Discussion: the lived experience enabled the development of skills and the improvement of the perception of social commitment in the collective construction of the Academicians' citizenship. The development of prevention and health promotion actions, through practices in humanized food and nutrition education, favored the increase of the bond between future health professionals and pregnant users of the health services provided at the UBS. Conclusion: The development of the activity provided the Medical Students with a unique opportunity for practical learning, something that ended up contributing significantly to the training and development of students' skills, regarding the execution and promotion of health promotion in the scope of care primary health.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo relatar la experiencia de Estudiantes de Medicina y describir la ejecución de una actividad educativa dirigida a promover la salud y sensibilizar sobre prácticas de alimentación saludable dirigida a gestantes usuarias de los servicios de una Unidad Básica de Salud (UBS). Metodología: basada en conversación círculos involucrando a 45 gestantes, realizándose la actividad cuatro veces durante el primer semestre de 2022, mediante el uso de material gráfico y una carpeta lúdica educativa, sobre los principales síntomas indeseables del primer trimestre del embarazo, dilucidando pautas nutricionales para mitigar o evitar a ellos. Resultados y Discusión: la experiencia vivida posibilitó el desarrollo de competencias y la mejora de la percepción de compromiso social en la construcción colectiva de la ciudadanía de los Académicos. El desarrollo de acciones de prevención y promoción de la salud, a través de prácticas de educación alimentaria y nutricional humanizada, favoreció el aumento del vínculo entre los futuros profesionales de la salud y las gestantes usuarias de los servicios de salud prestados en la UBS. Conclusión: El desarrollo de la actividad brindó a los Estudiantes de Medicina una oportunidad única de aprendizaje práctico, lo que terminó contribuyendo significativamente a la formación y desarrollo de habilidades de los estudiantes, en cuanto a la ejecución y promoción de la promoción de la salud en el ámbito de la atención primaria de salud.Introdução: O uso de práticas educativas voltadas à sensibilização de usuários de saúde no âmbito da atenção primária atua como ferramenta que ajuda a preservar a saúde desses indivíduos. O presente artigo tem como objetivo de relatar a experiência de Acadêmicos de Medicina e descrever a execução de uma atividade educativa que visou a promoção de saúde e a conscientização sobre práticas alimentares saudáveis voltada à gestantes usuárias dos serviços de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS). Metodologia: Baseou-se em rodas de conversas envolvendo 45 gestantes, sendo a atividade executada quatro vezes durante o primeiro semestre letivo de 2022, por meio da utilização de material gráfico e folder educativo lúdico, sobre os principais sintomas indesejáveis do primeiro trimestre de gestação, elucidando sobre orientações nutricionais para atenuá-los ou evitá-los. Resultados e Discussão: A experiência vivenciada possibilitou o desenvolvimento de habilidades e o aprimoramento da percepção do compromisso social na construção coletiva da cidadania dos Acadêmicos. O desenvolvimento de ações de prevenção e promoção da saúde, por meio de práticas em educação alimentar e nutricional humanizadas, favoreceu o aumento do vínculo entre os futuros profissionais de saúde com as usuárias gestantes dos serviços de saúde prestados na UBS.
