The senses and meanings of pedagogical practices in the use of music and dance in early childhood education

Resumo: The article, which is the result of a research conducted in 2020, with a school of early childhood education, located in the city of Parnaíba (PI), aims to present an analysis about the senses and meanings of the pedagogical practices, developed by educators, who work with music and dance in the school of early childhood education. The qualitative study used a methodological approach of the ethnographic type. The work is situated in the context of investigations about early childhood education, with emphasis on a theme that is linked to the thematic axis of culture, language and social interaction. The conclusions of the analysis point to the existence of conceptions and practices that focus on music and dance only as an instrument of relaxation, a form of entertainment, "ice-breaker" and artifice and not as central and strategic devices in the integral development of the child.

El estudio cualitativo utilizó un enfoque metodológico de tipo etnográfico. El trabajo se sitúa en el contexto de las investigaciones sobre la educación infantil, con énfasis en un tema que está vinculado al eje temático de la cultura, el lenguaje y la interacción social. Las conclusiones del análisis apuntan a la existencia de concepciones y prácticas que enfocan la música y la danza sólo como instrumento de relajación, forma de entretenimiento, "rompehielos" y artificio y no como dispositivos centrales y estratégicos en el desarrollo integral del niño.O artigo, que é resultado de uma pesquisa realizada em 2020, junto a uma escola de educação infantil, situada no município de Parnaíba (PI), tem como objetivo apresentar uma análise acerca dos sentidos e significados das práticas pedagógicas, desenvolvidas por educadores, que trabalham com a música e a dança na escola de educação infantil. O estudo qualitativo, usou uma abordagem metodológica do tipo etnográfico. O trabalho situa-se no contexto das investigações acerca da educação infantil, com destaque para um tema que está ligado ao eixo temático da cultura, linguagem e interação social.
