Nursing care in the face of autistic disorder: Integrative review

Resumo: Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by a syndrome that interferes with neurodevelopment, thus hindering cognition, language, behavior, and social interaction. The aim of this study was to identify the nursing care provided to Autistic Spectrum Disorder patients and their caregivers. This is an integrative literature review, carried out from February to May 2022, in the LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, and SCIELO databases via BVS. Fourteen articles were selected for the final sample. After the analysis of the articles selected to compose the results, it was identified that nursing has become the main and indispensable element for assistance in the face of the autistic disorder. We conclude that the role of nursing is fundamental in this process, since it is the first professional to have contact with the child, following its growth and development.

El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar la asistencia de enfermería en el Tránsito del Espectro Autista y sus cuidadores. Se trata de una revisión bibliográfica integradora, realizada entre febrero y mayo de 2022, en las bases de datos LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF y SCIELO vía BVS. Se seleccionaron 14 artículos para la muestra final. Tras el análisis de los artículos seleccionados para componer los resultados, se identificó que la enfermería se ha convertido en el elemento principal e indispensable para la asistencia en el trastorno autista. Se concluye que el papel de la enfermera es fundamental en este proceso, ya que es el primer profesional que tiene contacto con el niño, acompañando su crecimiento y desarrollo.O Transtorno do Espectro Autístico (TEA) se caracteriza por uma síndrome que interfere no neurodesenvolvimento, assim, dificultando a cognição, a linguagem, o comportamento e a interação social. O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar a assistência de enfermagem diante do Transtorno do Espectro Autistico e seus cuidadores. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada de fevereiro a maio de 2022, nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF e SCIELO via BVS. Foram selecionados 14 artigos para amostra final. Após a análise dos artigos selecionados para compor os resultados, identificou-se que a enfermagem se tornou o elemento principal e indispensável para a assistência diante do transtorno autista.
