Resumo: Objective: to identify scientific evidence on the association between burnout and obesity. Method: Integrative literature review. The guidelines and recommendations of the checklist of the Statement for Reporting Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses of Studie (PRISMA) and the PICO strategy were used. The selected articles were analyzed according to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The databases were: PubMed; CINAHL; Web of Science; Scopus; SciElo; LILACS. Results: One hundred and seven articles were found. The final scope consisted of four studies. The periodicals were in the areas of Public Health, Occupational Health and Environment and Clinical Nutrition. There were three cross-sectional studies and one randomized controlled intervention study. Of the eligible studies, 75% (n=3) were classified at level VI of scientific evidence. However, it is indisputable that there is evidence of a direct or indirect effect of burnout and/or its dimensions on weight gain. Conclusion: The association of burnout and obesity is still incipient, as there were few eligible studies. The levels of evidence in the studies are predominantly due to cross-sectional studies. It is valid to suggest that studies with more robust methodologies be carried out with the theme in question so that the path of causality between burnout and obesity can be better elucidated.

Utilizaram-se as orientações e recomendações do checklist do Statement for Reporting Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses of Studie e a estratégia PICO. Research, Society and Development2021-10-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2138710.33448/rsd-v10i13.21387Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 No. 13; e374101321387Research, Society and Development; Vol. 10 Núm. 13; e374101321387Research, Society and Development; v. 10 n. 13; e3741013213872525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/21387/19015Copyright (c) 2021 Douglas de Souza e Silva; Magno Conceição das Merces ; Julita Maria Freitas Coelho ; Dandara Almeida Reis; Argemiro D’Oliveira Júniorhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Douglas de Souza eMerces , Magno Conceição das Coelho , Julita Maria Freitas Reis, Dandara Almeida D’Oliveira Júnior, Argemiro 2021-11-21T18:26:28Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/21387Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:40:48.900349Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
