In what form have black people been represented in Science didactic books used in Santa Maria-RS public school?

Resumo: This article aims to investigate ethnic racial representations in two collections of Science and Nature Science textbooks, initial series, approved by the National Program of Didactic Book (PNLD), created in 1985, fulfilling the duty assumed by the State to provide didactic material for all accessing public education. Through observation, identification and categorization, 313 images were analyzed in textbooks. We find a diversity of representations of individuals and characters presented, albeit without many ethnic cultural distinctions.

Por medio de observación, identificación y categorización, fueron analizadas 313 imágenes presentes en los libros didácticos. Encontramos una diversidad de representaciones de individuos y personajes presentados, aunque sin muchas distinciones étnicas culturales.Este artigo busca investigar as representações étnico raciais em duas coleções de livros didáticos de Ciências e Ciências da Natureza, séries iniciais, aprovados pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), criado em 1985, cumprindo o dever assumido pelo Estado de fornecer material didático para todos que acessam a educação pública. Por meio de observação, identificação e categorização, foram analisadas 313 imagens presentes nos livros didáticos.
