Use of civil construction waste for production of cementic mortar cobogó

Resumo: | The amount of construction waste deposited in landfill in Lorena city - SP is approximately 50 tons/day. This landfill is already at its limit capacity and represents an unusable area responsible for several environmental, economic and social impacts. The aim of this work is the development and characterization of a sustainable product from solid waste from civil construction. The morphology of the collected waste was analyzed by SEM/EDS. The residues were macerated, mixed in different proportions with cement and water, and made into rectangular boxes. The mechanical test was carried out by flexing three points on specimens, absorbing water and analyzing fracture by SEM. Morphology of samples showed a heterogeneous and porous mass, with particles of different sizes, few agglomerates, and the presence of organic material. Resistance to the average rupture of the samples was obtained in MPa, characteristic of concrete for structural application. This being so, a mockup was developed proposing a hollow element type product, Cobogó style, indicating the potential of using civil construction waste as a sustainable product. |

Este vertedero ya está en su capacidad límite y representa un área inservible responsable de varios impactos ambientales, económicos y sociales. El objetivo de este trabajo es el desarrollo y caracterización de un producto sostenible a partir de residuos sólidos de la construcción civil. La morfología de los residuos recogidos fue analizada por SEM/EDS. Los residuos se maceraron, se mezclaron en distintas proporciones con cemento y agua y se transformaron en cajas rectangulares. La prueba mecánica se realizó flexionando tres puntos en las probetas, absorbiendo agua y analizando la fractura por SEM. La morfología de las muestras mostró una masa heterogénea y porosa, con partículas de diferentes tamaños, pocos aglomerados y presencia de material orgánico. La resistencia a la rotura media de las muestras se obtuvo en MPa, característica del hormigón para aplicación estructural. De esta manera, se desarrolló una maqueta proponiendo un producto tipo elemento hueco, estilo Cobogó, indicando el potencial de utilizar los residuos de la construcción civil como un producto sostenible.A quantidade de resíduos de construção civil depositada no aterro de inertes da cidade de Lorena-SP é de aproximadamente 50 toneladas/dia. Esse aterro já está na sua capacidade limite e representa uma área inservível responsável por diversos impactos ambientais, econômicos e sociais. O intuito deste trabalho é o desenvolvimento e caracterização de um produto sustentável a partir de resíduos sólidos da construção civil. A morfologia dos resíduos coletados foi analisada por MEV/EDS. Os resíduos foram macerados, misturados em diversas proporções com cimento e água, e conformados em caixetas retangulares. Foi realizado o ensaio mecânico por flexão de três pontos nos corpos de prova, absorção de água e a análise da fratura por MEV. A morfologia das amostras apresentou uma massa heterogênea e porosa, com partículas de diferentes tamanhos, poucos aglomerados, e presença de material orgânico. A resistência à ruptura média das amostras foi obtida em MPa, característica de concreto para aplicação estrutural.
