Construction of an occupational therapeutic practice with children with developmental delay: Experience report

Resumo: Objective: This study aimed to understand how the therapeutic practice is structured, whose objective is to promote the occupational professional of children with AD in their activities. Methodology: This is an experience report built from experiences in the subject Supervised Internship in Occupational Therapy 1, taught in the seventh period of the Occupational Therapy course at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in a non-profit institution located in the Recife neighborhood. Weekly consultations were carried out with children with different diagnoses, such as Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Results and Discussion: The interventions were structured gradually, starting from the application of anamnesis and estimates with the family and the child. Employment was used as a tool to promote bonding and the development of functional skills for occupational performance. From the analysis of evolutions, it was verified the improvement of skills not previously explored by the individual that favored the execution of actions. Conclusion: Due to the short period for the observation of the instruments, the qualitative result of this evolution was not obtained. However, the potential of therapeutic activity is perceptible through a practice carried out in a gradual and structured way, using an application of instruments formed from instruments, from the training of individuality, to the development of professional training.

Metodología: Este es un relato de experiencia construido a partir de experiencias en la asignatura Pasantía Supervisada en Terapia Ocupacional 1, impartida en el séptimo período del curso de Terapia Ocupacional en la Universidad Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), en una institución sin fines de lucro ubicada en Recife. vecindario. Se realizaron consultas semanales con niños con diferentes diagnósticos, como Síndrome de Down y Trastorno del Espectro Autista. Resultados y Discusión: Las intervenciones fueron estructuradas gradualmente, a partir de la aplicación de anamnesis y estimaciones con la familia y el niño. Se utilizó el empleo como herramienta para promover la vinculación y el desarrollo de habilidades funcionales para el desempeño ocupacional. A partir del análisis de las evoluciones, se verificó la mejora de habilidades no exploradas previamente por el individuo que favorecieron la ejecución de las acciones. Conclusión: Debido al corto período para la observación de los instrumentos, no se obtuvo el resultado cualitativo de esta evolución. Sin embargo, el potencial de la actividad terapéutica es perceptible a través de una práctica realizada de forma gradual y estructurada, utilizando una aplicación de instrumentos formados a partir de instrumentos, desde la formación de la individualidad, hasta el desarrollo de la formación profesional.Objetivo:  Este estudo objetivou compreender de que forma estrutura-se a prática terapêutica ocupacional cujo objetivo é favorecer o desempenho ocupacional de crianças com AD em suas ocupações. Metodologia: Trata-se de um relato de experiência construído a partir das vivências na disciplina Estágio Supervisionado em Terapia Ocupacional 1, ministrada no sétimo período do curso de Terapia Ocupacional da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), em uma instituição sem fins lucrativos localizada no bairro do Recife. Foram realizados atendimentos semanais com crianças com diferentes diagnósticos, como Síndrome de Down e Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Resultados e Discussão: As intervenções foram estruturadas de forma gradual, iniciando a partir da aplicação da anamnese e avaliações com a família e a criança. O brincar foi utilizado como instrumento para favorecer a criação do vínculo e mediar o desenvolvimento de habilidades necessárias para o desempenho ocupacional. Verificou-se a partir da análise de evoluções o aprimoramento de habilidades antes não exploradas pelo indivíduo que favoreceram a execução das ocupações. Conclusão: Devido ao curto período para reaplicação dos instrumentos não se obteve o resultado qualitativo dessa evolução, sendo registrada apenas através da observação.
