Health promotion of people in safety measures: perceptions of penitentiary agents and nursing

Resumo: | Objective: to understand how nurses and the penitentiary agents promote people's health of people in safety measures, from the perspective of the social determinants of health, at the Custody and Psychiatric Treatment Hospital. Method: exploratory and descriptive research with qualitative approach. Have participated in the study seven nursing professionals and eight prison guards, working in a hospital in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The semi-structured interviews were carried out between May and June 2019. The data was organized and analyzed by content analysis. Results: four categories have emerged: 1) Workers' conception of the concept of health; 2) Care of people as a safety measure; 3) Perceptions about the social determinants of health of people in security measures; 4) Health promoting actions in the hospital. Conclusion: is essential to develop an interdisciplinary work to address the social determinants of health of the people in security measures for the achievement of their rights. |

Método: investigación exploratoria, descriptiva, enfoque cualitativo. Participaron del estudio siete profesionales de enfermería y ocho guardias penitenciarios, actuando en un hospital de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas entre mayo y junio de 2019. Los datos fueron organizados y analizados por análisis de contenido. Resultados: surgieron cuatro categorías: 1) Concepción de los trabajadores sobre el concepto de salud; 2) Cuidado de personas como medida de seguridad; 3) Percepciones sobre los determinantes sociales de la salud de las personas en las medidas de seguridad; 4) Acciones de promoción de la salud en el hospital. Conclusión: es fundamental desarrollar un trabajo interdisciplinario para abordar los determinantes sociales de la salud de las personas como medida de seguridad para el logro de sus derechos.Objetivo: compreender como os enfermeiros e os agentes penitenciários promovem a saúde das pessoas em medida de segurança, sob o olhar dos determinantes sociais da saúde, no Hospital de Custódia e Tratamento Psiquiátrico. Método: pesquisa exploratória, descritiva, abordagem qualitativa. Participaram do estudo sete profissionais da área da enfermagem e oito agentes penitenciários, atuantes em um hospital de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Realizaram-se entrevistas semiestruturadas entre maio e junho de 2019. Os dados foram organizados e analisados pela análise de conteúdo. Resultados: surgiram quatro categorias: 1) Concepção dos trabalhadores sobre o conceito de saúde; 2) Cuidado das pessoas em medida de segurança; 3) Percepções sobre os determinantes sociais de saúde das pessoas em medida de segurança; 4) Ações promotoras de saúde no hospital.
