Brazilian futsal: a study on the teams of the national futsal league between 2016-2019

Resumo: Futsal is one of the most practiced sports in Brazil, having as main competition the National Futsal League, which over the years has been acquiring a lot of space in the national sports scene and with considerable media coverage. In view of this growth, there are numerous studies on the modality of futsal, but there is a scarcity of research on the aspects of sports management of clubs participating in the country's league. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a survey and analyze the geographic and sponsorship profile of the teams participating in the National Futsal League between the years 2016-2019. The focus of the research was on the identification of the region where the teams are installed, regarding the states and the size of the cities, as well as the characterization of the sponsoring brands. For this, a qualitative research of a descriptive nature was carried out, having as main source of data the documentary analysis. Data were collected from official platforms, team websites and official team profiles on social networks. The results show that despite being a national championship, most teams are located in the south and southeast regions, while the Northeast and Midwest regions did not participate in the league during the years analyzed. As for the sponsors, it can be noted that the teams receive sponsorship from companies that are located in the region of the teams, given the local visibility with modality.

Ante este crecimiento, existen numerosos estudios sobre la modalidad de fútbol sala, pero hay escasez de investigaciones sobre los aspectos de la gestión deportiva de los clubes que participan en la liga del país. Por tanto, este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar una encuesta y analizar el perfil geográfico y de patrocinio de los equipos participantes en la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala entre los años 2016-2019. El foco de la investigación estuvo en la identificación de la región donde están instalados los equipos, en cuanto a los estados y el tamaño de las ciudades, así como la caracterización de las marcas patrocinadoras. Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa de carácter descriptivo, teniendo como principal fuente de datos el análisis documental. Se recopilaron datos de plataformas oficiales, sitios web de equipos y perfiles oficiales de equipos en redes sociales. Los resultados muestran que a pesar de ser un campeonato nacional, la mayoría de los equipos se ubican en las regiones sur y sureste, mientras que las regiones Noreste y Medio Oeste no participaron en la liga durante los años analizados. En cuanto a los patrocinadores, se puede notar que los equipos reciben patrocinio de empresas que se ubican en la región de los equipos, dada la visibilidad local con modalidad.O futsal é um dos esportes mais praticados no Brasil, tendo como principal competição a Liga Nacional de Futsal, que ao longo dos anos vem adquirindo muito espaço no cenário esportivo nacional e com uma considerável cobertura midiática. Diante desse crescimento, há inúmeros estudos sobre a modalidade do futsal, porém verifica-se uma escassez de pesquisas acerca dos aspectos da gestão esportiva dos clubes participantes da liga do país. Sendo assim, o presente estudo teve como objetivo realizar um levantamento e analisar o perfil geográfico e de patrocínios das equipes participantes da Liga Nacional de Futsal entre os anos de 2016-2019. O foco da pesquisa foi na identificação da região onde se encontram instaladas as equipes, quanto aos estados e o porte das cidades, assim como a caracterização das marcas patrocinadoras das mesmas. Para isso foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza descritiva, tendo como principal fonte de dados a análise documental. Os dados foram coletados de plataformas oficiais, sites das equipes e perfis oficiais das equipes nas redes sociais. Os resultados apontam que apesar de ser um campeonato de nacional, a maioria das equipes se encontram localizadas nas regiões sul e sudeste, enquanto as regiões nordeste e centro-oeste não tiveram participações na liga durante os anos analisados.
