Violence suffered by nursing professionals in the emergency service

Resumo: | Objective: To identify the types of violence suffered by nursing staff and determine the feelings of professionals facing cases of violence suffered. Method: Exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, having as subjects the nursing professionals with more than one year in the unit. Results: Thirty professionals were interviewed, being 9 (30%) nursing technicians and 4 (13.33%) nurses. The sample was composed entirely by female 30 (100%). The prevalent age group was 31 and 40 years old. Of the interviewees, 27 (90%) claimed to have suffered verbal violence and, 10 (33.33%) suffered psychological violence. Regarding the feelings that the professionals felt when faced with the violence suffered, 7 (23.33%) reported feeling powerless and 7 (23.33%) said they felt hatred. Conclusion: It was possible to raise the profile of violence suffered by professionals, which were verbal, psychological and harassment. It was observed that the nursing professionals refer a feeling of powerlessness and sadness in front of the violence they suffer in the units where they work. According to the results, it is clear that violence can bring serious problems to the personal and professional lives of these workers. |

Método: Estudio exploratorio, descriptivo con abordaje cualitativo, teniendo como sujetos a los profesionales de la enfermería con más de un año en la unidad. Resultados: Se entrevistaron 30 profesionales, siendo 9 (30%) técnicos de enfermería y 4 (13,33%) enfermeros. La muestra estaba compuesta en su totalidad por 30 mujeres (100%). El grupo de edad predominante era el de 31 y 40 años. De las entrevistadas, 27 (90%) afirmaron haber sufrido violencia verbal y, 10 (33,33%), violencia psicológica. En cuanto a los sentimientos que los profesionales sintieron al enfrentarse a la violencia sufrida, 7 (23,33%) dijeron sentirse impotentes y 7 (23,33%) dijeron sentir odio. Conclusión: Se ha conseguido dar visibilidad a la violencia sufrida por los profesionales, que ha sido verbal, psicológica y de acoso. Observó que los profesionales de la enfermería, se refieren al sentimiento de impotencia y tristeza frente a la violencia que sufren en las unidades donde trabajan. En consonancia con lo expuesto en los resultados, se constata que la violencia puede traer graves problemas para la vida personal y profesional de estos trabajadores.Objetivo: Identificar os tipos de violência sofridas pelas equipes de enfermagem e determinar os sentimentos dos profissionais frente aos casos de violência sofrida. Método: Estudo exploratório, descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, tendo como sujeitos os profissionais de enfermagem com mais de um ano na unidade. Resultados: Entrevistados 30 profissionais sendo 9 (30%) técnicos de enfermagem e 4 (13,33%) Enfermeiros. A amostra foi composta totalmente pelo sexo feminino 30 (100%). Faixa etária prevalente 31 e 40 anos. Dos entrevistados, 27 (90%) alegaram ter sofrido violência verbal e, 10 (33,33%) sofreram violência psicológica. Sobre os sentimentos que os profissionais sentiram frente a violência sofrida 7 (23,33%) relatara sentir-se impotente, 7 (23,33%) disseram ter ódio. Conclusão: Foi possível levantar o perfil de violência sofrida pelos profissionais sendo elas verbal, psicológica e assedio. Observou-se que os profissionais de enfermagem, referem sentimento de impotência e tristeza frente a violência que sofrem em unidades aonde trabalham. Em consonância ao exposto nos resultados, percebe-se que a violência, pode trazer sérios problemas para vida pessoal e profissional desses trabalhadores.
