Perceptions of students in a pedagogy course on environmental issues and pedagogical practice: an analysis based on Grounded Theory

Resumo: This research aimed to investigate the perceptions of undergraduate students in Pedagogy about environmental issues, as well as their relationship with pedagogical practice. The data were obtained through an activity proposed to the academics, when, based on an excerpt from the song “Passarinhos” (Emicida) and two cartoons containing criticisms of man's actions in relation to the environment, they were able to write a critical text reflective on the subject addressed. The results were analyzed in the light of the Grounded Theory (TFD) and pointed out that the academics understand that environmental problems are caused by human actions, that such problems cause harm to fauna and flora (which they consider the environment) and health of people, and that recent events such as the rupture of the mining dam in Brumadinho-MG and the fires in the Amazon are issues that alert and promote reflection on anthropic actions. Also, the research participants consider that children are the hope of an ecologically healthier world and that issues such as environmental issues must be addressed since the Early Years of Elementary Education, awakening in children the critical and transformative sense of attitudes that may decrease future environmental problems.

Los datos se obtuvieron a través de una actividad propuesta a los académicos, cuando, basándose en un extracto de la canción "Passarinhos" (Emicida) y dos dibujos animados que contenían críticas de las acciones del hombre en relación con el medio ambiente, pudieron escribir un texto crítico. reflexivo sobre el tema abordado. Los resultados se analizaron a la luz de la teoría fundamentada (TFD) y señalaron que los académicos entienden que los problemas ambientales son causados por acciones humanas, que dichos problemas causan daños a la fauna y la flora (que consideran el medio ambiente) y la salud. de personas, y que eventos recientes como la ruptura de la presa minera en Brumadinho-MG y los incendios en la Amazonía son temas que alertan y promueven la reflexión sobre acciones antrópicas. Además, los participantes en la investigación consideran que los niños son la esperanza de un mundo ecológicamente más saludable y que los problemas como los ambientales deben abordarse desde los primeros años de la educación primaria, despertando en los niños el sentido crítico y transformador de las actitudes que pueden disminuir futuros problemas ambientales.A presente pesquisa teve por objetivo investigar as percepções de licenciandas em Pedagogia acerca da problemática ambiental, bem como sua relação com o fazer pedagógico. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de uma atividade proposta às acadêmicas, quando, com base em um trecho da música “Passarinhos” (Emicida) e em duas charges contendo críticas às ações do homem em relação ao meio ambiente, elas puderam escrever um texto crítico reflexivo sobre o assunto abordado. Os resultados foram analisados à luz da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD) e apontaram que as acadêmicas compreendem que os problemas ambientais são causados pelas ações humanas, que tais problemas causam malefícios à fauna e à flora (que elas consideram meio ambiente) e à saúde das pessoas, e que acontecimentos recentes como o rompimento da barragem de mineração em Brumadinho-MG e as queimadas na Amazônia são assuntos que alertam e promovem reflexão acerca das ações antrópicas.
