Resumo: The objective is to estimate, through references and scientific articles, the impacts caused by the media and drug advertisements, as well as these factors increase the practice of self-medication, identifying the health risks that it can cause in the population. The present study is an integrative literature review, based on a bibliographic study, which aims to achieve a deep understanding of a given phenomenon based on previous studies. The pharmacist plays an important role in providing a measurement to prevent the irrational use of drugs, being a specialist who intends to provide medical care, in accordance with the law and code of conduct, guarantee services, i access to medicines, specialized administrative care and awareness of the dangers of adverse reactions, drug interactions and drug addiction. In this sense, the pharmacist is considered a health promoter and must provide information to the user who will choose the best product for the prevention and treatment of diseases, especially when the patient chooses to practice self-medication. The pharmacist is also responsible for identifying signs and symptoms of health problems and making decisions, advising the patient's referral to a doctor. The population is heavily influenced by drug advertisements, which indiscriminately produce self-medication. It is noticed in the studies the difficulty of medical professionals daily in the exercise of the role of directing the effective use of medicines, the practice of self-medication has always been used for a long time, mainly due to the difficulty of accessing the population in the health system. Advertising is intended to highlight the product also as a result of increasing its sales, leaving aside, in many cases, sometimes information about the safety of the drug, such as side effects, adverse reactions and drug interactions, showing only its benefits. and indicators.

El presente estudio es una revisión integrativa de la literatura, basada en un estudio bibliográfico, que tiene como objetivo lograr una comprensión profunda de un determinado fenómeno a partir de estudios previos. El farmacéutico juega un papel importante al brindar una medida para prevenir el uso irracional de los medicamentos, siendo un especialista que pretende brindar atención médica, de conformidad con la ley y el código de conducta, garantizar servicios, acceso a medicamentos, atención administrativa especializada y conciencia de los peligros de las reacciones adversas, las interacciones medicamentosas y la adicción a las drogas. En este sentido, el farmacéutico es considerado un promotor de salud y debe brindar información al usuario que elegirá el mejor producto para la prevención y tratamiento de enfermedades, especialmente cuando el paciente opta por practicar la automedicación. El farmacéutico también es responsable de identificar signos y síntomas de problemas de salud y tomar decisiones, aconsejando la derivación del paciente a un médico. La población está fuertemente influenciada por la publicidad de medicamentos, que indiscriminadamente produce automedicación. Se nota en los estudios la dificultad de los profesionales médicos diariamente en el ejercicio del rol de orientar el uso efectivo de los medicamentos, la práctica de la automedicación siempre ha sido utilizada por mucho tiempo, principalmente por la dificultad de acceso a la población en el sistema de salud. La publicidad tiene como objetivo resaltar el producto también como resultado del aumento de sus ventas, dejando de lado, en muchos casos, a veces información sobre la seguridad del medicamento, como efectos secundarios, reacciones adversas e interacciones medicamentosas, mostrando solo sus beneficios e indicadores.O objetivo estimar, através de referências e artigos científicos, os impactos causados pela mídia e pelas publicidades de medicamentos, bem como esses fatores aumentam a prática de automedicação, identificando os riscos de saúde que a mesma pode ocasionar na população. O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão de literatura integrativa, baseada a partir de um estudo bibliográfico, a qual tem como objetivo alcançar profundo entendimento de um determinado fenômeno com base em estudos anteriores. O farmacêutico desempenha um papel importante na uma oferta de medição para evitar o uso irracional de drogas, ser um especialista que pretenda prestar assistência médica, de acordo com lei e código de conduta, serviços de garantia, e acesso a medicamentos, atendimento administrativo especializado e consciência dos perigos das reações adversas, interações medicamentosas e dependência de drogas. Nesse sentido, o farmacêutico é considerado um promotor de saúde e deve fornecer informações ao usuário que escolherá o melhor produto prevenção e tratamento de doenças, principalmente quando o paciente opta a prática da automedicação. O farmacêutico também é responsável por identificar sinais e sintomas de problemas de saúde e tomar decisões, aconselhar o encaminhamento do paciente a um médico. A população é muito influenciada por anúncios de medicamentos, que produzem automedicação indiscriminadamente. Nota-se ao ver nos estudos a dificuldade dos profissionais médicos diariamente no exercício do papel de direcionar o uso efetivo de remédios, a prática da automedicação sempre foi utilizada por muito tempo, principalmente pela dificuldade de acesso da população no sistema de saúde.
