Nurses' perception of viral hepatitis screening in primary health care

Resumo: | Objective: To analyze the perception of nurses in the screening of viral hepatitis in Primary Health Care (PHC). Methods: This is an action research developed in Ananindeua, State of Pará and approved by the Ethics Committee under opinion number: 5,081,537. Data collection was carried out from August 2021 to February 2022 with professional Nurses from the Family Health Strategy-FHS, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire containing ten items on sociodemographic and work characterization and Likert scale of 5 points in which participants could classify their knowledge about 16 (sixteen) questions regarding the participants’ attibutions, in accordance with Technical Note No. 369/2020-CGAHV/DCCI/SVS/MS, which deals with strategic expansion of the Brazilian population’s access to the diagnosis of viral hepatitis and referral of detected cases for treatment. Results: The study covered 20 professionals, most of them female (95%). 100% of he research participants approved the importance of knowing the epidemiological profile of their assigned area population and recognized the importance of identifying the existence of pregnant women with hepatitis B and /or C and the mandatory notification of viral hepatitis. As for vaccination coverage, only 1% of respondents were undecided about its importance. Conclusion: In view of the professional nurses various attributions in PHC, it was possible to identify that is necessary to create strategies that facilitate the management of the time of these professionals to work in the dimension of the care production and tracking of viral hepatitis, being able to dedicate more time to this activity and provide comprehensive care to the user in a more qualified way, accompanying them throughout the care flow with prevention, promotion and treatment actions, and thus, contributing to universal coverage and access, providing meaning to the relationship between health services and community individuals, as well as contributing to universal health coverage and access. |

Métodos: Se trata de una investigación acción desarrollada en Ananindeua, Estado de Pará y aprobada por el Comité de Ética con el dictamen número: 5.081.537. La recolección de datos se realizó de agosto de 2021 a febrero de 2022 con Enfermeros profesionales de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia-ESF, mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario semiestructurado que contenía diez ítems sobre caracterización sociodemográfica y laboral y una escala de Likert de 5 puntos en la que los participantes podían clasificar su conocimiento sobre 16 (dieciséis) preguntas sobre las atribuciones de los participantes, de acuerdo con la Nota Técnica nº 369/2020-CGAHV/DCCI/SVS/MS, que trata sobre la expansión estratégica del acceso de la población brasileña al diagnóstico de hepatitis virales y la derivación de casos detectados para tratamiento. Resultados: El estudio abarcó 20 profesionales, la mayoría mujeres (95%). El 100% de los participantes de la investigación aprobaron la importancia de conocer el perfil epidemiológico de la población de su área asignada y reconocieron la importancia de identificar la existencia de gestantes con hepatitis B y/o C y la notificación obligatoria de las hepatitis virales. En cuanto a la cobertura de vacunación, solo el 1% de los encuestados se mostró indeciso sobre su importancia. Conclusión: Frente a las diversas atribuciones de los profesionales de enfermería en la APS, fue posible identificar que es necesaria la creación de estrategias que faciliten la gestión del tiempo de estos profesionales para actuar en la dimensión de la producción del cuidado y seguimiento de las hepatitis virales, siendo poder dedicar más tiempo a esta actividad y brindar una atención integral al usuario de forma más calificada, acompañándolo en todo el flujo de atención con acciones de prevención, promoción y tratamiento, y así contribuir a la cobertura y acceso universal, dando sentido a la relación entre los servicios de salud y los individuos de la comunidad, además de contribuir a la cobertura y acceso universal a la salud.Objetivo: Analisar a percepção de enfermeiros no rastreamento das hepatites virais na Atenção Primária em Saúde (APS). Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa-ação desenvolvida no município de Ananindeua, Estado do Pará e aprovada no Comitê de Ética sob parecer número: 5.081.537. A coleta de dados foi realizada no período de agosto/2021 a fevereiro/2022 com profissionais Enfermeiros da Estratégia Saúde da Família- ESF, por meio da aplicação de questionário semi-estruturado contendo dez itens sobre a caracterização sociodemográfica e laboral e escala tipo Likert de 5 pontos na qual os participantes puderam classificar seu conhecimento acerca de 16 (dezesseis) questões referente às atribuições dos participantes, em conformidade com a Nota Técnica no 369/2020-CGAHV/.DCCI/SVS/MS, a qual versa sobre a ampliação estratégica do acesso da população brasileira ao diagnóstico das hepatites virais e encaminhamento de casos detectados para tratamento. Resultados: O estudo abrangeu 20 profissionais, a maioria do sexo feminino (95%). 100% dos participantes aprovam a importância de conhecer o perfil epidemiológico da população de sua área adstrita e reconhecem a importância em identificar a existência de gestantes com hepatite B e ou C e da obrigatoriedade de notificações compulsórias das hepatites virais. Quanto à cobertura vacinal, apenas 1% dos entrevistados ficou indeciso quanto a sua importância. Conclusão: Diante das várias atribuições do profissional enfermeiro na APS, foi possível identificar que são necessárias criar estratégias que facilitem a gestão do tempo destes profissionais para atuarem na dimensão da produção do cuidado e rastreamento das hepatites virais podendo dedicar um tempo maior para essa atividade e realizar a atenção integral ao usuário de forma mais qualificada acompanhando-os em todo o fluxo de atendimento com ações de prevenção, promoção e tratamento, assim contribuindo com a cobertura e o acesso universal fornecendo sentido à relação dos serviços de saúde com os indivíduos da comunidade, bem como contribuindo com a cobertura e o acesso universal à saúde.
