Profile of physical education students and interest in the areas of performance in education and health

Resumo: This work aimed to present the profile of undergraduate and graduate students in physical education working in the areas of education and health. The methodology used for this article was a qualitative, academic and descriptive approach, with the aim of discussing the possible role of future physical education professionals in the areas of education and health. Result: a total of 78 volunteers participated in the study who answered a google forms questionnaire with open and closed questions and variation in the likert scale. It is concluded that physical education students are mostly young males and despite the large number of bachelors, the area of school physical education still seems to be very coveted. On the other hand, there is also an increase in the public that thinks of providing care and prescribing physical activities with a view to the health of children and young people in specialized care for people with disabilities and special needs.

La metodología utilizada para este artículo fue un enfoque cualitativo de carácter académico y descriptivo, con el objetivo de discutir el posible papel de los futuros profesionales de la educación física en las áreas de educación y salud. Resultado: en el estudio participaron un total de 78 voluntarios que respondieron un cuestionario de formularios de google con preguntas abiertas y cerradas y variación en la escala de likert. Se concluye que los estudiantes de educación física son en su mayoría varones jóvenes y a pesar de la gran cantidad de licenciados, el área de educación física escolar aún parece ser muy codiciada. Por otro lado, también crece el público que piensa en brindar cuidados y prescribir actividades físicas con miras a la salud de los niños y jóvenes en la atención especializada a personas con discapacidad y necesidades especiales.Este trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar o perfil de alunos de licenciatura e bacharel em educação física em atuar nas áreas da educação e saúde. A metodologia utilizada para este artigo foi de abordagem qualitativa de caráter acadêmico e descritivo, com o intuito de discutir a possível atuação de futuros profissionais de educação física nas áreas de educação e saúde. Resultado: participaram do estudo um total de 78 voluntários que responderam a um questionário do google forms com perguntas abertas, fechadas e variação na escala de likert. Conclui-se que os estudantes de educação física são em grande maioria jovens do sexo masculino e apesar do grande número de formandos em bacharel, a área de educação física escolar ainda parece ser muito cobiçada.
