Resumo: Objectives: The general objective is to identify the medicinal properties of Carapa guianensis Aubl by the Amazon population. Methodology: This is a literature review in online databases of books, theses, dissertations, and articles published between 2015 and 2021. It was identified in the research that the Andiroba lipid extract, obtained from almonds where it is traditionally used by people Amazon due to its anti-inflammatory properties, such as soothing muscle and joint pain, disinfecting or healing the skin because of insect bites or to tone the hair and scare away lice. Conclusion: Carapa guianensis Aubl has proven therapeutic effects both by popular culture and by scientific studies, and can be used as healing, antiparasitic, antifungal and bactericidal and cosmetics.

Se identificó en la investigación que el extracto lipídico de Andiroba, obtenido de las almendras donde es tradicionalmente utilizado por la población amazónica debido a su propiedades antiinflamatorias, como calmar los dolores musculares y articulares, desinfectar o curar la piel como consecuencia de las picaduras de insectos o tonificar el cabello y ahuyentar los piojos. Conclusión: Carapa guianensis Aubl tiene efectos terapéuticos comprobados tanto por la cultura popular como por estudios científicos, y puede ser utilizado como cicatrizante, antiparasitario, antifúngico y bactericida y cosmético.Objetivos: Tem-se como objetivo geral identificar as propriedades medicinais da Carapa guianensis Aubl pela população da Amazônia. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica, em bases de dados online de livros, teses, dissertações e artigos publicados entre 2015 e 2021. Identificou-se na pesquisa que o extrato lipídico da Andiroba, obtido das amêndoas onde é tradicionalmente usado pelos povos amazônicos devidos suas propriedades antiinflamatórias, como calmante de dores musculares e articulares, desinfectante ou cicatrizante da pele em decorrências de picadas de insetos ou para tonificar o cabelo e afugentar piolhos.
