Resumo: Lifestyle is a set of beliefs, values and attitudes which are reflections of our daily habits, that is, our patterns of behaviour. Taking into account that Physical Education, as a mandatory curricular component in the basic education level, is essential for the guiding of posture and healthy habits, it is expected of the Physical Education teacher to be an example in this aspect. Therefore, several studies aimed to analyse the profile of Physical Education teachers regarding their own health habits, such as the ones as described by Both, Nascimento, Borgatto, Silva, Barros, Hartwig, Rombaldi, Jorgi and Ramalho. Thus, this article objective was to analyse the physical education teachers lifestyle in Canindé – CE, in 2019. For this purpose, we utilized a descriptive field research, quantitative and cross-sectional. The sample was consisted of 12 Physical Education teachers of the state teaching network in Canindé-CE, 8 women and 4 men, which answered the questionnaire ‘‘Pentáculo do Bem-Estar’’ (PBE) – “Well-being Pentacle” - as suggested by Nahas, Barros and Francalacci (2000) in order to evaluate people’s lifestyle. The results showed the predominance of a healthy lifestyle on most of Physical Education teachers, but also a diminution of physical activity habit throughout their time when working professionally.

Considerando que la Educación Física, como componente curricular obligatorio en toda la educación básica, es preponderante en la orientación de actitudes y hábitos saludables, se espera que el docente de esta disciplina sea, en teoría, ejemplar en este sentido. Ante ello, varios estudios se han centrado en analizar el perfil de los profesores de Educación Física en cuanto a la adopción de prácticas saludables, como los de Both, Nascimento, Borgatto, Silva, Barros, Hartwig, Rombaldi, Jorgi y Ramalho. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar el estilo de vida de los profesores de Educación Física del ciudad de Canindé-CE, en el año 2019. Para ello, se utilizó una investigación de campo descriptiva, cuantitativa y transversal. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 12 profesores de Educación Física de la red estatal de Canindé-CE, ocho mujeres y cuatro hombres, que respondieron al cuestionario ''Pentáculo do Bem-Estar'' (PBE), propuesto por Nahas, Barros y Francalacci (2000) para evaluar el estilo de vida de las personas. Los resultados indicaron el predominio de un estilo de vida saludable por parte de la mayoría de los profesores de Educación Física, pero también una disminución del hábito de actividad física a lo largo del tiempo de actividad profesional.O estilo de vida é um conjunto de crenças, valores e atitudes que se refletem em nossos hábitos no cotidiano, ou seja, em nossos padrões de comportamento. Considerando que a Educação Física, enquanto componente curricular obrigatório em toda a educação básica, é preponderante na orientação de posturas e hábitos saudáveis, espera-se que o professor dessa disciplina seja, em tese, exemplar nesse sentido. Em face disso, vários estudos detiveram-se em analisar o perfil dos professores de Educação Física no que tange à adoção de práticas saudáveis, tais como os de Both, Nascimento, Borgatto, Silva, Barros, Hartwig. Rombaldi, Jorgi e Ramalho. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o estilo de vida dos professores de Educação Física do município de Canindé-CE, no ano de 2019. Para isso, recorremos a uma pesquisa descritiva de campo, quantitativa e transversal. A amostra foi composta por 12 professores de Educação Física da rede estadual de Canindé-CE, sendo oito mulheres e quatro homens, os quais responderam ao questionário ‘‘Pentáculo do Bem-Estar’’ (PBE), proposto por Nahas, Barros e Francalacci (2000) para avaliar o estilo de vida das pessoas.
