Resumo: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is defined as a loss of 500 ml of blood or more within 24 hours after delivery, most of these deaths can be avoided with the use of prophylactic uterotonics being the main source of prevention in the third phase of delivery. delivery and timely through proper management. The objective of this work is to analyze assistance in the prevention and management of postpartum hemorrhage, to ensure the prevention, stabilization and monitoring of the patient in order to solve any future problems, also contributing to the reduction of risk and maternal deaths. This is an integrative review study, where a search was carried out in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Spanish Bibliographic Index in Sciences of Health (IBECS). The following descriptors were used to search for articles: “Postpartum Hemorrhage”, “Postpartum Period” and “Pregnant Women”. The inclusion criteria defined for the selection of articles were: articles available online, in full, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and indexed in the aforementioned databases in the years 2012 to 2022. As exclusion criteria: articles that did not include the theme and repeated studies in the databases. In view of the above, we can see the care provided to the puerperal woman, such as the evaluation of loquiation and vital signs, which can facilitate the perception of the beginning of the hemorrhage, facilitating the immediate management and reducing the progression of the case.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la asistencia en la prevención y manejo de la hemorragia posparto, para asegurar la prevención, estabilización y seguimiento de la paciente para solucionar eventuales problemas futuros, contribuyendo también a la reducción del riesgo y muertes maternas. estudio de revisión integradora, donde se realizó una búsqueda en las siguientes bases de datos: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) e Spanish Bibliographic Index in Sciences of Health (IBECS). Se utilizaron los siguientes descriptores para la búsqueda de artículos: “Hemorragia posparto”, “Periodo posparto” y “Mujeres embarazadas”. Los criterios de inclusión definidos para la selección de artículos fueron: artículos disponibles en línea, completos, en portugués, inglés y español, e indexados en las bases de datos antes mencionadas en los años 2012 a 2022. Como criterios de exclusión: artículos que no incluyeron el tema y estudios repetidos en las bases de datos. En vista de lo anterior, podemos ver los cuidados brindados a la puérpera, como la evaluación de loquiación y signos vitales, que pueden facilitar la percepción del inicio de la hemorragia, facilitando el manejo inmediato y disminuyendo la progresión del caso.A hemorragia pós-parto (HPP) é definida como uma perda de 500 ml de sangue ou mais dentro de 24 horas após o parto, a maioria destas mortes pode ser evitada com o uso uterotônicos profilática sendo a principal fonte de prevenção na terceira fase de entrega e oportuna por meio de uma gestão adequada. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a assistência na prevenção e no manejo de hemorragia no pós-parto, para garantir a prevenção, estabilização e monitorização da paciente com o intuito de sanar eventuais problemas futuros, contribuindo também para a redução de risco e óbitos maternos.Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa, onde realizou-se uma busca nas seguintes bases de dados: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Índice Bibliográfico Espanhol em Ciências da Saúde (IBECS). Foram utilizados, para busca dos artigos, os seguintes descritores: “Hemorragia Pós-Parto”, “Período Pós-Parto” e “Gestantes”. Os critérios de inclusão definidos para a seleção dos artigos foram: artigos disponíveis online, na íntegra, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol, e indexados nos referidos bancos de dados nos anos de 2012 a 2022. Como critérios de exclusão: artigos que não contemplavam o tema e estudos repetidos nas bases de dados.
