Spatio-temporal analysis of fires in the Municipality of Santa Helena de Goiás

Resumo: Monitoring phenomena that occur in nature, be they natural or man-made, is an important technique to mitigate their negative effects. This study aims to perform the spatio-temporal analysis of the occurrence of hot spots in Santa Helena de Goiás in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017. The cartographic database consisted of municipal limits; spatial data of hot spots for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017; as well as satellite image for the identification of land use and cover. The heat focus data were obtained through the platform of the Institute for Space Research on the electronic page “Bdqueimadas”, the data were acquired in shapefile extension (.shp). These data are generated from images of sensors on board the polar satellites and geostationary satellites, and the heat sources for that study were derived from the processing and integration of daily data from different sensors. During the period there was a 32.60% decrease in occurrences between 2015 and 2016. While between 2016 and 2017 there was a 28.76% increase between the two periods. The total number of occurrences in the period was 2041 hot spots, 38.17% in 2015, 25.72% in 2016 and 36.11% in 2017. The importance of using geoprocessing tools to identify areas with a history of hot spots in the municipality of Santa Helena de Goiás, thus assisting in public measures aimed at reducing and preventing these occurrences so that they have a lower proportion and losses.

Este estudio tiene como objetivo realizar el análisis espacio-temporal de la ocurrencia de puntos calientes en Santa Helena de Goiás en los años 2015, 2016 y 2017. La base de datos cartográficos consistió en límites municipales; datos espaciales de puntos calientes para los años 2015, 2016 y 2017; así como imagen satelital para la identificación del uso del suelo y la cobertura. Los datos del foco de calor se obtuvieron a través de la plataforma del Instituto de Investigación Espacial en la página electrónica "Bdqueimadas", los datos se adquirieron en extensión de archivo de forma (.shp). Estos datos se generan a partir de imágenes de sensores a bordo de los satélites polares y los satélites geoestacionarios, y las fuentes de calor para ese estudio se derivaron del procesamiento e integración de datos diarios de diferentes sensores. Durante el período hubo una reducción de 32.60% en las ocurrencias entre 2015 y 2016. Mientras que entre 2016 y 2017 hubo un aumento de 28.76% entre los dos períodos. El número total de ocurrencias en el período fue de 2041 puntos críticos, 38.17% en 2015, 25.72% en 2016 y 36.11% en 2017. Por lo tanto, la importancia de utilizar herramientas de geoprocesamiento para identificar áreas con una historia de puntos calientes en el municipio de Santa Helena de Goiás, ayudando así en las medidas públicas destinadas a reducir y prevenir estos eventos para que tengan una menor proporción y pérdidas.O monitoramento de fenômenos que ocorrem na natureza, sejam eles naturais ou antrópicos, é uma importante técnica para mitigar seus efeitos negativos. Este estudo tem objetivo de realizar a análise espaço-temporal da ocorrência de focos de calor em Santa Helena de Goiás nos anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017. A base de dados cartográficos consistiu em limites municipais; dados espaciais de focos de calor para os anos de 2015, 2016 e 2017; bem como imagem de satélite para a identificação do uso e cobertura do solo. Os dados de foco de calor foram obtidos por meio da plataforma do Instituto de Pesquisas Espaciais na página eletrônica “Bdqueimadas”, os dados foram adquiridos em extensão shapefile (.shp). Estes dados são gerados a partir de imagens de sensores a bordo dos satélites polares e satélites geoestacionários, sendo os focos de calor para o referido estudo foram derivados do processamento e integração de dados diários de diferentes sensores. Durante o período houve redução de 32,60% das ocorrências entre 2015 e 2016. Enquanto que entre 2016 e 2017 houve aumento de 28,76% entre os dois períodos. O total de ocorrências no período foi 2041 focos de calor, sendo 38,17%, em 2015, 25,72% em 2016 e 36,11% em 2017.
