Resumo: | Aim: to analyze the quality of life of people with HIV in outpatient follow-up at a University Hospital in Rio de Janeiro. Method: a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The sample consisted of 101 people with HIV in the care of a specialized care service at a university hospital. For data collection, a questionnaire of socioeconomic and clinical data and the WHOQOL-HIV bref instrument were used. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was used. Results: Most are women, aged between 18 and 38 years old, income of up to two minimum wages and complete high school. Quality of life was best assessed in the domains: psychological, social relationships and spirituality, religion and personal beliefs. Some socioeconomic variables showed statistically significant differences between the domains. Conclusion: the perception of QoL of people living with HIV was classified as intermediate in all domains. This fact reflects that, despite the existence of policies for access to Antiretroviral Therapy and health care available in the public network, social aspects must be considered for the populations in which HIV has been spreading. |

Research, Society and Development2020-04-28info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/374910.33448/rsd-v9i7.3749Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 7; e82973749Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 7; e82973749Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 7; e829737492525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3749/2883Copyright (c) 2020 Rodrigo Leite Hipólito, Denize Cristina de Oliveira, Hellen Pollyanna Mantelo Cecilio, Sérgio Corrêa Marques, Paula Vanessa Peclat Flores, Tadeu Lessa da Costa, Fabiele Oliveira de Limainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessHipólito, Rodrigo LeiteOliveira, Denize Cristina deCecilio, Hellen Pollyanna ManteloMarques, Sérgio CorrêaFlores, Paula Vanessa PeclatCosta, Tadeu Lessa daLima, Fabiele Oliveira de2020-08-20T18:05:03Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3749Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:27:50.693061Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
