Resumo: | The topic of Drug Education has been discussed in the area of Science Education and in policies related to public health, with an emphasis on licit drugs, such as caffeine products, present in a variety of commercialized foods. This article contextualizes the consumption of coffee and other caffeine products as psychoactive foods used by young people and adults over time. Given these aspects, based on bibliographic research, centered on the qualitative approach, the article in question aims to highlight the recent stimulus to the consumption of foods and beverages with caffeine composition as a practice influenced by the food industry - to some extent as substitutes for the compositions alcoholics -, recognizing that some practices of abstinence from such products may not be reached or desired by young people and adults of more recent generations. Thus, the article defends Harm Reduction as an attainable pedagogical perspective, believing that the pursuit of quality of life may be combined with common sense and less aggressive and abusive eating practices. |

Este artículo contextualiza el consumo de café y otros productos de cafeína como alimentos psicoactivos utilizados por jóvenes y adultos a lo largo del tiempo. Dados estos aspectos, basados en la investigación bibliográfica, centrada en el enfoque cualitativo, el artículo en cuestión tiene como objetivo destacar el reciente estímulo al consumo de alimentos y bebidas con composición de cafeína como una práctica influenciada por la industria alimentaria, en cierta medida como sustitutos de las composiciones. alcohólicos, reconociendo que algunas prácticas de abstinencia de tales productos pueden no ser alcanzadas o deseadas por jóvenes y adultos de generaciones más recientes. Por lo tanto, el artículo defiende la reducción de daños como una perspectiva pedagógica alcanzable, creyendo que la búsqueda de la calidad de vida puede combinarse con el sentido común y las prácticas alimentarias menos agresivas y abusivas.O tema Educação sobre Drogas vem sendo discutido na área de Ensino de Ciências e nas políticas relacionadas à saúde pública, com destaque para as drogas lícitas, como os produtos cafeínicos, presentes em uma diversidade de alimentos comercializados. O presente artigo contextualiza o consumo do café e de outros produtos cafeínicos como alimentos psicoativos utilizados entre jovens e adultos ao longo dos tempos. Diante desses aspectos, a partir de pesquisas bibliográficas, centrados na abordagem qualitativa, o artigo em questão tem o objetivo de evidenciar o recente estímulo ao consumo de alimentos e bebidas com composição cafeínica como prática influenciada pela indústria alimentícia – em alguma medida como substitutos às composições alcoólicas –, reconhecendo que algumas práticas de abstinência a tais produtos podem não ser atingidas ou desejadas por jovens e adultos de gerações mais recentes.
